Chance In A Million

Lyrics: Robert Hunter
Music: Greg Anton, Steve Kimock

Chance in a million, might as well try
Chance in a million to do it or die
Chance in a million to call your own shot
Better believe it, it's all that you've got

Opportunity don't really knock
Just ticks loud like a dynamite clock
Chance in a million, stay with the beat
Get all I got, it was coming to me

Nine hundred ninety nine thousand goodbyes
Don't make one hello, you got to improvise
One in a million to turn it around
Follow that hunch, baby, follow that sound

Star-struck, hazy, caught up in lies
Burned-out, crazy, tears in my eyes
Chance in a million's better than none
Sink into madness or reach for the sun

Certain as sunshine after the rain
Certain as solace after the pain
Chance in a million, when all's said and done
Chance in a million is better than none

Nine hundred ninety nine thousand goodbyes
Don't make one hello, you got to improvise
One in a million to turn it around
Follow that hunch, baby, follow that sound

Chance in a million, winner take all
Chance in a million to follow that call
Better than zero divided by one
Chance in a million is better than none

Star-struck, hazy, caught up in lies
Burned-out, crazy, tears in my eyes
Chance in a million's better than none
Sink into madness or reach for the sun

Certain as sunshine after the rain
Certain as solace after the pain
Chance in a million, when all's said and done
Chance in a million is better than none

Nine hundred ninety nine thousand goodbyes
Don't make one hello, you got to improvise
One in a million to turn it around
Follow that hunch, baby, follow that sound

We'll be tuning in from Portland!

Decided not to make the road trip in bad weather w/o show tickets.

Very cool! Have to check this out from the East coast. Thanks for the link.

Nice that they're doing that, Bart. I plan to tune in, too.

I will be listening as well.

I hope to join you all from the Monterey/Salinas area.

Bart, thanks for sharing the good music vibes.

I continue to keep you in my positive/hopeful thoughts and am sending you the best fighting/healing vibes I've got.

(((Be Well, BART)))

Thanks for the heads up the zero stream, Bart.

Deactivated my old dbmb email address and didn't transfer any the contacts beforehand (doh!) so give me a shout if you see this and get the time. [email protected]

Happy New Years to you both. Say hi to Benice from us.

Good morning Bart. For some reason the email didn't come through. Hope all is well with you guys.

I just resent it

Got it, thank Bart.

Resentment can only go so far.

Pete Sears just posted this on Facebag:
Playing keyboards at the Sweetwater with one of the old 1990's versions of Zero tonight...sold out fast. Should be an interesting night.
Steve Kimock, Bobby Vega, Greg Anton and me...mostly instrumental with Hadi Al-Saadoon on horns. Banana will be coming up to sing and play some songs, as will Martin Fierro's daughter Jessica. For me it's really in memory of our old band-mates Martin Fierro and Judge Murphy.

Banana is always a welcome addition.

that rare last minute ticket would be most welcomed – email in profile.

Locked and Ready to BLAST !- Zero a reunion.... yeswinkcheeky

Great show, lets give a big shout out to KVMR for a great stream.

Steve's guitar was strong all night, Pete Sears and Greg Anton was great but Bobby Vega was my MVP of the night.

I enjoyed hearing Horses what a great song. Encore was Mercury Blues.

More later...

Anf thanks Bart and his lovely spouse BeNice for their gracious hospitality during our recent trip to Grass Valley. Very kind and generous folks.

Alan

Thanks Alan, it was nice meeting you and your wife. KVMR is always looking for new DJ's just take the training class and you are good to go. Volunteers is the heart of the station.  Next time you need more time to poke around, glad you enjoyed your stay.

I really enjoyed listening to the show last night but the Judge, Martin factor just was the missing link for me. I think Chip is in LA working a full time job.

Long live Zero

god bless john, martin, and judge – get this fuggin band on the road!
