^ Cool, Judit. Tell her to be sure to day high.
We're looking forward to this next Saturday. I'm hoping a couple of old friends may be able to sit in on our set for a couple of tunes.
A bit too far for me to get to, but my oldest friend lives in Auburn and he's the bass player in the GD "tribute band" Hardly Deadly (I know, I know, and he agrees but it's not his band) so he'll likely be there. I'll tell him to be sure to check your group out.
^ I try, Jeff.
Lance, that'd be Jim Hall. I know of him and his band. Also, he plays with a really good guitarist, Tony Quinn.
Look forward to meeting him.
LOL, Bluest. Images of Bob's Big Boy sized children of the 50 foot woman running amok in a special location at the park.
Some really great music yesterday. I only wish we could have stayed longer, but the heat and Miz Mylar's bum leg forced us to bail after 4 PM.
Sorry to miss Redneck, but Lyz made it to our little set and it was nice to see her again.
Idea Team and the Mindful were pleasant surprises. Never heard or seen these talented young people before.
Matt Rainey's band with Scott Guberman was on fire and played some tasty versions of popular Dead tunes.
Todd Gardner's acoustic jam to open the main stage was sweet. Very nice "Birdsong" to open.
This festival was peaceful and kind, the way I remember 60s park events. Nice to see the GOGD vibe is still rocking along!
And that giant kid zone was amazing with activities, games, rides and all kinds of stuff. Oh, to be a child again and have that much fun!

I especially like the "Giant Kid Zone" concept.
Would be something to observe the 7-foot tall Sasquatch infants playing Frisbee & Hackey - Sack, trading Basketball cards...
