Zoners under 40 that enjoy Dead Co

Forums:

Are there any?

I met a someone with a Steal Your Face tattoo who is 25--he saw one of the Fare Thee Well shows and said he's seen Dead and Co. and loves them.

Wanted to take a pic of the guy but didn't want him to think I was making fun of him.

Viva's loss.

I'm 39. Can't say I'm a fan.

I saw my first show 39 years ago, if that counts.....   (UCLA 12/30/78)

Jakestraw

I'm over 40 and have enjoyed some of their shows I've streamed. Some better than others, but overall not too bad.

Not quite sure what all the hate is with respect to Deadco. I get some don't care for the tempos. Others hate JM or can't stand his on stage antics. Whatever, I get it.

Just never understood crapping on someone for differing opinions.

It's all good,

Keep Crappin' On!yes

I would guess there are only a handful of people on this board that are under 40.

I'll let you guys know tonight...

but right now I'm more intrigued for Circles Around the Sun after show

>>>>Keep Crappin' On!

Im not crapping on anyone.  It's just a theory of mine that this band is for the older deadheads and 20 somethings that never saw any other iterations of the band i.e. PLF, The Other Ones, The Grateful Dead, etc

if you like it good for you.

if anything Hooper, you're the one doing the "crapping" in this thread.

Is complaining about other people complaining....complaining?

Kenny likes it slow. So that's his thing.

I could like this band if it drops Mayo for Sless.

Mayo flat-out sucks.

Hi Floops!  Totally agree with your assessment.

No spot taken.

Much ground breaking in this thread all around.

I guess I am an "older deadhead" - but Dead & Co. is definitely not for me. You honestly would have to pay me to attend a show.

If I truly felt nostalgic for the Grateful Dead of my youth - DSO definitely sounds more like what I remember than Dead & Co.

That said - a lot of folks sure are having fun at these shows - so they should pay no attention to my opinion of Dead & Co. whatsoever and get their freak on.

Enjoy your Friday.

Most folks - present company somewhat excepted - who are under 40 probably never saw the Grateful Dead.. They were born after 1977 and were only 18 in 1995.

Folks who are 55 to 70, if they did see the GD, probably first saw them before 1977 and as early as 65. Most of this demographic are into the earlier GD and are prob. not into D and C.

That leaves the 40 to 55 year olds who are in the right demo to be into this version of The Dead. They saw the GD from say 1980 to 1995, and the sound of this band is most like the GD from that era - mostly 85 to 95.

^^^

I would agree with this assessment as well. Most of my friends who like Dead & Co. and have seen them multiple times are in the 40-50 demo.

I know a guy who is 70+, who has been seeing the GD and all offshoots since 1967.

Not only does he love DeadCo, he has a DeadCo jean jacket. He also wears FTW, RatDog and PL&F swag.

He doesn't give a shit about all the kvetching. He goes, has a great time and dances.

It doesn't have to be that complicated.

What? No kvetching?

Sound like he would make a terrible Zoner, Brian.

I would guess that there are exceptions to every rule and every stereotype.

When the circus comes to town I will go. I

But some of the stuff they play makes my chest ache.

I believe 1 outta 3 of my sons under 40 enjoy the band.

The other two not so sure.

I have to admit, I laughed when I saw his jacket (hanging on a hangar at the gym). If I had a camera I would have taken a pic and posted it here.

1 out of 1 of my sons under 40 will be seeing them soon.

2 out of 2 of his parents over 55 won't.

lol

I'd go see them if they were less that 2 hours away.

>>>>> he has a DeadCo jean jacket. He also wears FTW, RatDog and PL&F swag.

The ultimate custy.

I'd see them if they were in my living room.  I wouldn't be happy about it, but I'm too polite to say anything.

You, polite?

>> I'm too polite to say anything

lol

I will not see the corporate Dead

I will not see them in a shed

I will not hear them in my chair

I will not hear them anywhere

>>>>You, polite?

Very.  Doesn't mean I put up with fools or assholes though.  If Mayer was in my house being a passive aggressive asshole like 6 is I'd call him on it.

I will not see the corporate Dead

I will not see them in a shed

Fantastic.  I hope more people build on it.

I'd bop Mayer on the head, steal his $200,000 watch and bang his hotties!

>>If Mayer was in my house being a passive aggressive asshole like 6 is I'd call him on it.

What would my birthday be without Timmy politely dissing me on Viva?

Is that passive aggressive enough for you?

>>>he has a DeadCo jean jacket

Lol

These two posts make the most sense to me. I am 53 so I fall into this demographic as well. Mostly I just like seeing live Grateful Dead music played by live members of The Grateful Dead.

I would also agree w the post re DSO...They sound the most like what I remember the sound to be like and try not to miss them either when they r in town.

Yes, Timmy. And now I have YOU to blame.

cb thats a GRATE show...love Eyes-China Doll .

Where do they sell the D&Co jeans jacket?

Over 40 victim of fate here.  Went last year with no to low expectations but was surprisingly pleased.

Funny thing was the amount of young people in attendance.  Same thing with "the Dead" and Furthur - lots of young kids who were way too young to have seen Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead. In my experience these newer GD offshoot bands have a much younger and wookier scene than Phish - which seems to principally draw folks that have been into the band since the 90s and are now older and better behaved.

Phish has arguably the best audience in music, period.

((line cast into shallow water))

Totally.

What up man! I just mentioned you recently, glad to see you posting. Def would like to get together this weekend. I'll shoot you a note.

Phish has arguabley the bet audience in music>>>>>

Lol. Yeah, if you like hanging around bunch of used to be frat kids, privelaged white teens, trustsafarians, GD family people, regular old punk ass motherfuckers and wooks.

>>>Lol. Yeah, if you like hanging around bunch of used to be frat kids, privelaged white teens, trustsafarians, GD family people, regular old punk ass motherfuckers and wooks.

You mean like the exact people who hang out here? Yeah, fuck them lol

oh, shit, he di'int!

are the phishes the keepers of the flame?

Nah, it's TTB ftw.

Phish is a far better band than anything currently GD-related, and their audience is the most attentive, respectful group of people in any scene. Hands down.

Saying that Phish is better than any current GD related music isnt much of a compliment. If your into soft pop jam tunes then Phish is a good fit. One of the softest bunch of rockers in history though. Ween fans are much more fun, IMO.

I don't know about that, the CCM crowd is very devotional, and cleans up after themselves.

It's damn near impossible to find balloons at those events, though, so there is that.

Phish crowds wear the most North Face shit per capita.

Ween is like 9.8/.02. Arguably the biggest sausage fest in the history of music. Pretty sure they turn women away at the gate.

At least there is one woman for every nine dudes at a Phish show.

^That's a highly inaccurate statement, Mark. Never been to a Ween show, I take it?

^ I'd be willing to bet that Deaner alone has gotten more ass in his tenure as a rockstar than all of the members of Phish combined but then again Ween is a real rock and roll band so it's not really fair comparing them to Phish.

I've seen Ween a handful of times.

Total. Sausage. Fest.

Stubs, Mark, we need to see Ween stubs!

Not at all my experience. You must have been to some off shows.

Phish makes my top 3 softest Rock Groups of 2017 though.

Jeez JR, I almost never Zone during the day. I'm glad to see that you're using your free time to keep tabs though.

 >>>Phish makes my top 3 softest Rock Groups of 2017 though.

Where does Slayer rank this year?

SCI on the podium as well?

soft jams

JR doing his Nick impression.

You going to bang a cadaver next?

In keeping with the thread, I offer this doozy as the soft rock classic of theyear:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cqH_tcIQcc

(((necrophilia burns)))

>>>>^ I'd be willing to bet that Deaner alone has gotten more ass in his tenure as a rockstar than all of the members of Phish combined but then again Ween is a real rock and roll band so it's not really fair comparing them to Phish.

And John Mayer has gotten more tail than any of them and he's softer than Paige.  There goes that theory.

I also question the quality of the woman Deaner is banging.

Lol, Mickey(Deaner) doesn't have anyrhjng to prove in that department. If you don't then you should ask somebody,

I'd also very seriously question the quality and sobriety of any woman that has slept with Gene. L

Can somebody post a crowd shot at a Ween show so we can get an unofficial count of the male/female ratio?

Im 38 and enjoy Dead and Co quite a bit.  Hit or miss, but I've really enjoyed 2 of the 5 I've seen.  Thought Sunday at Shoreline was fantastic (well set 2 at least)

Hello, C>R.

Lotsa chicks at the Ween shows I've been to.

Pics or it didn't happen, Floops.

You got google, Mark.

btw, I put Dead and Co. at 2 in my top 3 softest rock groups of 2017. Phish is at 3. Number 1 goes to the man Phil and his family terrapin band. Phish and Dead and co combined can't compete with that kinda softness.

Slayer ain't soft

Y'all know goddamn good and well a Ween show is a sausage fest.

I can honestly say that in my experience I have found that Widespread Panic crowds have been wonderful to me :) I always meet the coolest chicks and the guys are very respectful ( I have had some offer me water and during set break have had the best convos )  to me, maybe because I am older .  They def remind me of when I first began going to Dead shows back in the 70's...a good vibe all around, this has been my experience alone tho.

Can't wait till Peach...gonna be fun !!

You have some strange theories, Mark. Ween fans on the zone aren't sure what you're talking about.

Dood, Mark, I was there having a great time, not carrying around cameras.

Lotta sausage, true, but also sweetie punk chicks and weirdos too.

Ween fans know exactly what I'm talking about, Timpane.

Have you guys ever been to a Beyonce concert?

>>>>Can somebody post a crowd shot at a Ween show so we can get an unofficial count of the male/female ratio?

Hard to tell from this angle, but looks like all dudes.

Ween Stage 2.jpg

If you want a higher chick to dude ratio, I would suggest Def Leppard.  Saw them back in the day, and every trailer trash teenage girl in the Greater Jacksonville Area came out in their "I wanna be a ho" outfits.  Way more chicks than dudes.  I am sure if you saw them today, there would be the same women, in the same outfits, just 30 years older.

Thanks, Ken. I don't see a female anywhere in that pic.

Timpane? Floops?

They're there. But they're hipster chicks, so they have beards too.

Mark, Timpane is obviously tight with the band.  He even used Deans offstage real/nickname.  He probably video tapes Deaner uh I mean Mickeys sexual conquests.

I mean it's like he said he "doesn't have anyrhjng to prove " whatever the covfefe that is.

Is that even a Ween show? Terrible pic man.

Timmy, seems you have gone somewhere odd with your fantasies there. Keep dreaming, guy. You must be smoking some heavy weed right now.

Mickey(Deaner) doesn't have anyrhjng to prove in that department.

millenials-dancing1.png

You're obviously super tight with the guy.

>>>>Is that even a Ween show?

Clearly. You can tell because there are literally no women anywhere.

Not as tight as you and your boy toy, Mark. I'll leave two lovebirds to it. Off to a wine and cheese party with the fiancé. Have a nice weekend guys.

All thing being equal - if I enjoy the music of a certain artist - can someone explain to me what is so important about the gender of the other people at a concert of said artist I am attending?

 //////.

>>>can someone explain to me what is so important about the gender of the other people at a concert of said artist I am attending?

because of pussy

oh and happy birthday. You must be young asking questions like that.

>Have you guys ever been to a Beyonce concert?<

no but went to a ray la montagune? show with the old lady and it was a clam bake as opposed to a sausage fest...

>>>>because of pussy

I heard that young Bob Weir decided to dedicate his life to rock n roll after attending a Beatles concert and finding himself surrounded by a crowd of screaming girls.

^I think you mean John Mayer tour.

have you noticed, ween has the best show posters.

WEEN SUCKS DONKEY BALLS = Absolutely HORRIBLE !

put Coke on my dick ? WTF ? FUCK OFF WEEN !

Ween show posters are indeed pretty awesome.

PLF, not a fan of coke on your dick?

Female Ween fans are called juggalos.

Quick reply by Brian d. Almost cobra like.

image_576.jpg

Um, Ween doesn't draw the type of women who go to Beyoncé shows.

I'm just going to refrain from commenting on any specifics there.

If there's coke being put on my dick something epic is happening so while I'm not a fan of ween I support that concept

Badger, I just want to thank you for helping Six out earlier in this thread.

You're doing excellent work here. Keep it up.

image_578.jpg

On the other hand, it does appear from this shot that they have the same sausage/clam ratio of most jambands.  TTB might be an exception, as Susan Tedeschi has complained about being stalked by packs of feral lesbians.

TTB mostly draws lonely old guys though, right?

PLF, not a fan of coke on your dick? <<<<<

>>because of pussy

Oh, I see. Because pussy makes the music sound that much better just by being there.

I'm 31, accidentally ended up at the vibes 13 yrs ago, got turned on & slowly sucked in through the following couple years..been going ever since that 1st vibes. I've seen 2 D&Co shows, chose to see Phil Nov. 2015 instead of going to msg. wasn't all that impressed after 1st D&Co show I saw at spac last summer.. it technically sounded good at times but didn't really do much for me. Went to Fenway a month later to give it another shot & the music & everything clicked. I was blown away by the fact that I was blown away, as I'd been pretty skeptical & critical up to that point. Everything I've heard from this summer has been pretty meh imo, hoping they pick up more steam & it gets better. I'd still rather see a DSO show angry

>>>Oh, I see. Because pussy makes the music sound that much better just by being there.

no rookie. You asked why the gender of the crowd was important not about what makes the show sound better.

gender is important to some people because going to a rock concert is a way for some people to meet up and have sex. I prefer to have sex with women so for me gender of the crowd was much more preferable when there was more women there.

no one said anything about the sound but I assume that you know that and you're just trying to get into an argument now.

I hope your birthday went well! Bye!

Well, I think the vibes of most shows are better if there's a balance between testosterone and estrogen - an excess of either generally leads to less of a fun show.

Other than that, it only matters if you're going to the show to hook up.

>>no rookie. You asked why the gender of the crowd was important not about what makes the show sound better.

Bucky?

I guess the meaning of this part of my original post was not clear enough

>>All thing being equal - if I enjoy the music of a certain artist<<

I kind of thought that covered all things about the performance of an artist I like - including the sound.

My bad.

And yes - I go to concerts to hear music not to look for pussy. Pretty crazy, huh?

Enjoy the pussy - but don't limit yourself. Pussy is found in many places, not just concerts.

If you like an artist's music - what gender the audience is shouldn't matter to you.

>>Other than that, it only matters if you're going to the show to hook up.

I think that appears to be the deciding factor for Bucky.

I like the Badger. Excellent addition to this community.

Aww. That's so nice.

The grateful dead ended in 1995. Time to move on folks.

))))4:20((((

I am about 23 and only caught the last bit of GD tour.

About this DeadCo. -- they play Sinatra-esque GD covers of the last bit of GD tour, with a great light show.

Ween shows have plenty of Women, but they tend to be Cannibals.  So they will invite you to their tent, put on some Barry White, but it is just a ruse to Cook & Eat you.  Be forewarned, OK.

>>>>>>Aww. That's so nice.

6, as the host of this thread I'm sorry but I think it's time for me to ask you to move to another thread.  You're doing that thing you do again.

Thanks.

What is Ween?

Mayer is ripping it up so far tonight. Love him in this band, he totally kicks ass!

awful lot of  zoners over 40 offering their opinions, musings and metamucil powered nonsense in here.

I have less than a month as a sometimes zoner under 40, saw one MSG GD show as a 17 year old in 1994 (for those who assume in this thread no one under 40 saw the gd) and have absolutely no plans on getting interested in deadco later this summer when I join a protected class for the first time i my life.

>>>Hell NO ! Coke  Sucks and My dick ? i hate that Fucker !

Sorry, but this was definitely a stellar and bizarre post from one of the over 40 zoner crew who stopped by in this thread.

Love a good PLF outburst, hang in there buddy and try to love your dick a little more, dude.

Censorship sad

Just saw a video of Ween from last night. Those guys are really playing at a high level now. Great to see.

Nothing is being censored 6.  All your posts are here.  I'm just trying to help you quit embarrassing yourself.

Who here am I that concerned about supposedly "embarrassing" myself in front of, Timmy?

quit ruining my thread

Good to see some old-schoolers still bickering away...  keeps the Earth on its axis.  wink

Some people don't even know what "Ween" is?

^Not uncommon on the Zone. There are some folks on here who think that The Grateful Dead were the only band that ever played music.

It's true, Timpane.

I actually saw a poster who literally had no idea who KISS was. They've sold like 100 million records, and are arguably the most visually iconic band in history. It's perplexing.

>>>>arguably the most visually iconic band in history.

We were partying with some Argentine ex-pats in Costa Rica on night and started talking about music.  They said they really liked "Keys"  We asked, "Alicia Keys?"  No.  "The Black Keys?" No.  Then we realized they were talking about KISS.

Ween is awful!

Have a good day all!

It really is something else, Mark. My favorite are the zoners who don't realize that the Dead were one of the most popular bands ever. They still think they're some cult following like back in 69-71. Classic.

Why are you guys still posting in this thread after I "ruined" it?

They're trying to save it?

smiley

lol

not a zoner, but apparently Katy Perry enjoys some Dead & Company action.

My misguided nephew.

I haven't really listened to them yet.  My kid's mom got us tickets as a Father's Day gift to me for their show on Saturday at Fenway Park.  Going in with an open mind and no expectations.  Should be a good time, regardless.

Your kid's mom? Sounds like she doesn't mean much.

>>>>Why are you guys still posting in this thread after I "ruined" it?

I said ruining not ruined, and you're the only one I asked to quit participating.

For the record, your honor, to the best of my recollection, I said ruining not ruined, and you're the only one I asked to quit participating.

I too went to Boulder D&C shows. Blessed sacrament set my bullshit detector on high for first night, and I thought it was a pretty poor show and extremely contrived - not unlike fake news. The 3/4 tempo Deal they broke into mid-set really blew. In fact, Marcus King shredded the D & C Friday show when he played the night before at the Fox Theater. Saturday show was considerably better than Friday show, musically (the way they played the music not the tune selection per se), but I am not a huge mayo fan and cannot shake the picture I have in my mind of him being the oily, hair-greased-back Matt Dillon detective in Something About Mary (less so this year than last, to an extent). Mayo is a poseur, there is no question about it. I began coming to terms with this after seeing him play a 2nd set with JRAD at BB last year then seeing him do a Boy Band duet w Alicia Keyes the next night on TV. Ugh... But I suppose our choices are limited these days and we take what we can get or stay home an reminisce about the days of yor. And I do understand that, like Dead 50, they really do need a draw other than the just the remaining members - or no one will show. TG for Phil!! Yes his lineups change but at least he is authentic. Still miss Furthur deeply and wish they would get back together, if not only to play selected Beacon, Cap or Radio City runs again as opposed to touring, which Phil obviously cannot do anymore. Times they are a changin' and I guess we all have to just make our own scene though...

Spotted on Reddit today:

When Dead & Company become Miles Davis. Drums/Space/Milestones (Miles Davis Cover) Dead & Company Atlanta 6/13/17

I didn't know that taking a dump on a classic jazz composition is the equvialent of becoming Miles Davis.

So, that happened.

Still miss Furthur deeply and wish they would get back together,>>>>

I respect everyone's opinion. Including yours but You lost all credibility, along with your review, commenting on Furthur.

Furthur had Phil Lesh. Dead Co has John Mayer.

Advantage: Lesh.

>>Your kid's mom? Sounds like she doesn't mean much.

Should I say "Baby's Mama" or "Daughter's Mother?"  Does that sound like I love her more?

All this blah blah woof woof about tempo. The Grateful Dead did the same thing. Listen to Deal circa 1972-1976/77 much slower tempo then 78 on or Friend of The Devil is another good example. Or compare Eyes of The World from Louisville 74 or any other 74 Eyes to The Scope in 1982.  There are other songs as well. I wonder if Deadheads that were on the bus from the beginning felt that the band was speeding up the tempo to much for their liking . Any of you out there that saw The GD in the early days into the late 80s have any insight on this?

I am by no means comparing the 2 as bands as DeadCo is a paper thin shell of the original. They are my way of seeing GD Songs I like, played by members of The GD. Which might not be important to others but is to me.

>>> I'm just trying to help you quit embarrassing yourself.

Very thoughtful indeed, especially from someone with such experience in this field.

Hey Sloppy Fo6.  Molested any road kill lately?

It took you over an hour to reply, care to explain the delay?

On one of the last River Monsters Jeremy stopped for road kill and used it for fish bait. He said it was fresh road kill.

Sure, but I've got something to attend to real quick.  Hold your breath and I'll be right back.

>>Is creekhed siobud's baby grandfather?

Naw.

I think there are only three excuses for enjoying DeadCo.

1.  You never saw the Grateful Dead.  (They provide, arguably, the best imitation through sight and sound of the 80s stadium dead experience.)

2. You are nostalgic for 80s/90s Mega Dead and want to revisit your coming of age.

3.  Bobby made your panties wet when you were 16.

Jeremy picks up ROAD KILL, lol......  Season Three.. sorry to see this series end.

Flesh Ripper – An eight foot flesh eater is a legend in New Zealand.  Wade discovers tales of supersized eels cracking a man’s ribs, and attempting to pull a young girl out into deeper waters.  He picks up road kill for use as bait when searching for the longfin eel.  Wade goes on a radio show to solicit local stories about eel attacks and learns that eels are capable of entering live sheep and pulling out their insides. In this episode, he turns himself into human bait.

Season Three !

I never saw GD

i love listening to Brent shows

im wearing shorter shorts because of Bob

we didn't go this time around because we didn't get free tickets

Nissan Pavilion is about 30 minutes from me and i can't stand that venue, just terrible traffic nightmare ect. And another weekday show, no thanks not even with a free ticket.

Why not Merriweather ???????????????? not that i would for sure go, it would be more tempting.

> because we didn't get free tickets<

see...you ARE a deadhead.

I'll let you know what I think after tomorrow's show.

I've just received information that one of the most vocal anti-DeadCo Zoners may in fact be attending a DeadCo show very soon.

Six, is there any validity to these rumors?

Who me? No sir. If the information you got was that I was going - then they are a bad source of information - and you should never trust another thing that person tells you.

My wife wants to see the nonsense for herself, but, no, I will not accompany her to see Slow Bobby and Oscar Meyer Wieners.

I will not go see Dead&Co. until Mike W. himself pays me to attend this so-called "redemption".

>>>- and you should never trust another thing that person tells you.

this has a familiar ring to it

Yes.

Ironically, I think a "lassie" might be involved.

I've received very reliable information that despite his posturing here on the Zone, Six will be attending the DeadCo performance with Mrs. Six.

That's fake news you were given. Very sad.

Even Mrs. Six was smart enough to not even waste her time asking me to join her this evening. She's going with friends.

I told her to go and get this nonsense out of her system and never speak of it again.

Which venue is this DeadCo performance taking place at, Six?

I believe the show is being held at The Yucky Large Stadium.

Or maybe it's at Hot & Crowded Park?

No, no...I remember now - it's at The Torture Dome.

Sounds awesome. Are you planning on wearing a GD-related XL t shirt to this event?

Since I'm not going, I plan on attending completely naked.

Might I suggest dusting off your classic Ship of Fools tie dye featuring the iconic Dancing Bears getting into mischief on a pirate ship?

You can certainly suggest anything.

btw - I am glad you are being welcoming me in this thread, Mark. That's very nice. Certainly compared to Mr. Mom's approach.

I'm widely regarded as one of the most welcoming zoners, Six.

Would you like to play a game?

Let's see how long it takes you to figure out why I don't want to go tonight.

Big hint: It's NOT John Mayer.

Do you find John Mayer attractive, Six?

>>>>>>>Do you find John Mayer attractive, Six?

What about Mike Gordon?

And what of Jim James and Ry Cooder?

Or is it Yim Yames now?

Do the attractive women at MMJ shows make you uncomfortable, Java Dave?

Bunch of terrible guessers here.

A few terrible zoners, too.

Enjoy show tonight, Six.

>>>>Let's see how long it takes you to figure out why I don't want to go tonight.

You're out of weed?

No, Slacker. No one has even come close yet!

>>A few terrible zoners, too.

Can you name names, Mark?

Of course I can, Six.

Because the driving Bobby tempos are too fast and cause you anxiety?

My theory is that Six finds Mickey Hart's mouth breathing unsightly and possibly bad trip-inducing.

Right on. Great guess, Brian.

Do the attractive women at MMJ shows make you uncomfortable<<<<

No, just the huge nothing that is their music, and the cloying hipster poseurs who think their drivel is anything special.   The drunken neighing and ninnying is also grating.

>>Of course I can, Six

Oh, yes. I am confident you can. One of your many talents.

Java Dave enjoys a good sausage phest.

No wonder he doesn't like Radiohead.

Lol

Six, i think you should start giving clues to all the clueless wonders here, as to why you do not want to go tonite, yet, would like to view or listen to a stream

I enjoy women as much as any other straight guy, but I go to see music played for the caliber of the music being played.  It's unfortunate you two are being distracted by the trimmings, and have to put up with such weak music and fanbases.

Jambone - since my wife is away and I will not be having wild marathon sex to get me tired, I will need something to put me to sleep tonight.

Don't make direct eye contact with Mickey, Six.

Mickey doesn't like it when you make direct eye contact.

Six is scared of The Beast, mark

Mickey Hart is the antichrist. Been saying that for years. Especially after he threw drumsticks at that nice harmonica player.

Winning.

Rest easy, Six...if ya cant sleep....theres always the golf tourney on tv...even if its only for a nice quiet saturday afternoon nap

Yes, Jambone. As my mother always said - "Golf for a good nap, Dead & Co. for a good night's rest".

Mother knows best....

<<<<<Do you find John Mayer attractive, Six?

>>>>>What about Mike Gordon

Lol!

Getting meta up in here.

As Zoey D. says, "Mrrrrrrrroowwwwrrrrrrooowwwwrrrrrooowwwwwooooowwwww!"

This thread has been pretty funny since I last checked. Nice work guys.

Happy Fathers Day to all...

Happy Fathers Day itself, to everyone!

Hello Mr. Charlie 2, keep em' coming!

why the fuck would anyone want to see deadco when JRAD is on the road? deadco's jams are weak, short and uninventive, where JRAD is the exact opposite...long, highly inventive turn on a dime jamming.

i do enjoy the pure nostalgia of the lot and hearing bob sing and play, taking me back to early days of going to shows, but nostalgia does not make a band worth seeing. some folks here are vehemently anti-nostaligia, and personally i enjoy it quite a bit, but it alone wont get my meat in their seat

signed, a 20 something who never saw jerry, doesnt know shit about the dead, does to many drugs and is a total custie

double post - damn, we've even got all the outdated irritations of the old zone. loving it

>>>>Especially after he threw drumsticks at that nice harmonica player.

Mickey chunking drumsticks was nothing compared to what Bill the Drummer did to him.

Yup, Mickey distracts you with sticks to the head while Billy kicks you in the nads.

It's hard to defend against.
