ZOTY 2023

Well I didn't drive all the way across the country just to go to the Fillmore.

I was actually tasked to dig thru the catacombs beneath the ruins of TXR to see if any Zoner Of The Year trophies were still salvageable.

Pre-covid when Phil fans were young, healthy and social, the annual end-of-year ZOTY awards ceremony was the place to be. Debauchery, treachery, and plain old embarrassing behavior abounded.

Alas, those times are long gone.

But since ritual is the glue that holds a community together -- even one as aging (and sadly bordering on boring as this one) -- there is still recognition to be dealt out to our peers.

So without further ado, I'm going to attempt a last gasp of..... well something... I propose a dual award this year.

ZONY 1) For posting shit I like to read -- in fact, just for posting and keeping this place going this past year:

El Nino (kxela) -- thanks for all the threads, bro. You're like Newsweek for Zoners. Keep up the good work.

and  ZONY 2) For just surviving and showing us that old freaky people can keep on trucking:

Flashback Tim  -- he's an inspiration. Whenever i catch the sniffles I think, that guy recovered and he had covid 86 times PLUS they replaced several of his organs, and he STILL goes to shows!

I'm ready to send these fine Zoners their trophies unless you think otherwise. Once I dust them off and super glue the little Phil heads back on.

I hope you guys contribute to this thread so it doesn't wither before the day is out. All suggestions welcome.
