The President Doesn't Run the Country...

Forums:

The deep state or shadow government does. Obama's presidency confirms this.

Really? Maybe try this website

Q: So, who does rule America? A: The owners and managers of large income-producing properties; i.e., the owners of corporations, banks, other financial institutions, and agri-businesses. But they have plenty of help from the managers and experts they hire. You can read the essential details of the argument on this site, or read the new seventh edition of Who Rules America?.

Capitalism rules America. All those things are driven by the dollar.

Hey, Deadrock, you have no idea what the deep state or shadow gov't is, do ya?

Hey redneck, when some of the nation's largest financial institutions were bailed out in 2009 due to massive financial misfeasance and criminality, was that capitalism? sounds more like corporatacracy to me. Is a private banking cartel (i.e. federal reserve) with the authority to print money out of thin air in which the US taxpayers pay interest capitalism?

Yes, those cycles are the very essence of Capitalism. America has had these cycles since inception. It is a symptom of capitalist excess. capitalism also breeds corruption.

Hey now Lassen i know that term from a few books by Peter Dale Scott i read. Interesting stuff. So i have a pretty good idea what it is. Maybe it is a factor in power structure but it is not the most important in my view.

I posted that link to some sound sociological research because even if there is a deep state the power of big money is much more important and i consider spreading conspiracy theories taking to much attention from the real problem - political decisions in democratic institutions influenced by money. You just don't need the deep state to explain who rules america.

Cool Deadrock. decent article, but i don't think it explores deep enough into the geo-political and military aspects of the deep state- which ultimately benefit the corporations, but should be discussed as well.

The controllers of economic and monetary policy are well aware of economic cycles, and fully capitalize on it, while the average american is saddled with bearing the costs of such down cycles. Americans are also purposely not educated by our corrupt federal dep't of education as to how the economy actually works, which helps continue this rigged system. True capitalism is agnostic as to who wins and loses, and is based on market dynamics, however this only applies to average people, not the elites that control the game.

Deep s in the first place organizes heroin trade. That s just kind of normal business (though illegal). In order to stop war and climate change (that will lead to an even bigger body count than American war machine) we will need to target the ruling class and not the deep state. I think it is rather unimportant in face of the most urgent problems. Let them check their dope; who really needs to be stopped are the republicans. Obama couldn't do anything without them but that is not to be confused with the influence o deep state. My view.
