THE AMAZING TAMPA BAAAAAAY BUCCANEERS!!!!!!!!

Forums:

So happy to be making this my first post in the nuevo sports zone.

The Bucs have been killing it!  Started the season in total disarray. but now 4 in a row and tied for 1st in the NFC south. The offense remains a work in progress, with flashes of awesome, but the defense has been killing it. Shutting. Them. Down.  This is how Tampa is supposed to be.  Warm fuzzies!!!!

Gerald McCoy, King Kwon, Vernon Hargreaves, Lavonte David, Noah Spence, William Gholston, Kwon Alexander.  Brent Grimes. Making the plays when it matters. Kicking ass and taking names.  Jameis leading the team with heart, like a giant puppy who occasionally throws balls  he shouldn't because he BELIEVES (work on that son).  Seeing the improvement in Mike Evans maturity and play since last year is amazing, he's my jersey guy.  And Cameron Brate.  Brate the Great.  The best punter in the league, Bryan Anger.  The coaching.  Sorry lovie, but this was the right move.  Koetter still makes some mistakes in time management that make me crazy, but he is bringing a team together.  Mike Smith, welcome!

7-5 and tied for first.  NO ONE thought they'd be there after the cards/rams/raiders debacles.  They have to be pretty much perfect to get into the play-offs, and that may not happen. Consistency is an issue.  However, what was so great about the chargers win is that they were struggling to start the game, didn't play lights out, and still won.  That was huge.  In some way bigger than the Seattle game. They still have problems (closing it out from the red zone, kicking, safety, injuries, consistency), but I stand here today thinking that anything is possible.  This year, next year,.  This is a team worth watching and a team that I really LIKE.  Whatever happens vs BreesCo next week and Dallas efter that (yikes), I sure am happy these guys are the team that I root for..

FAMILY on 3!

>> tied for 1st in the NFC south

There are no ties for divisional leaders. We have tie-break rules.

The first tie-breaker is division record. Right now,the Falcons own that tie breaker, as they are 3-1 against NFC South opponents. The next tie-breaker would be record against common opponents. Atlanta is 3-3 at the moment, while the Buccaneers are 4-4.

What a grande entrance, well done.

Wild cards go to either, Falcons, Bucs, Gints or Skins.

>>>There are no ties for divisional leaders.

Preppy sure she is aware of that.

Heading over Sunday for the Saints game, corner of the endzone 1st level. Hopefully they can shut Breezy down like detroit just did.

Who am I kidding I want to see what Jamis can do in a shoot out. Hoping for a 45-42 win for the Bucs

Getting ready to head to the game and tailgate. Stayed at the Westin in Harbour Island and partied at a Bunch of the bars around the arena. Tons of penguins fans all around for the lightning game, even hung outside the arena watching the game on the big screen Nice that you can walk all over with drinks in hand

go bucs

FUN FACTS:

1) At 38.5% the Bucs have the worst historic win/loss rate of any NFL team.

2) The Bucs will not win the division.

Cowboys next....

I realize Falcons are ahead in the tiebreaks. Nevertheless, being in the spot where one misstep from the Falcons could give us the division is amazing considering where this team was a few weeks ago. Is it maddening to think about the ones that got away (Raiders) or just generally shitty play early on?  Hell yeah, but so it goes, it's a work in progress  I was pretty resigned to the likelihood of losing to Dallas next week, but I am actually feeling like we have a shot.  In the end though, I don't see the Bucs winning out, mainly because they settle for 3 too many times. Still a lot of work to do. But damn, I didn't expect this, so maybe they will.  SO FUN to see this team coming together though.

And it does seem like a good time to be playing the Cowboys.  I just hope they don't switch up QBs and game plans as our youngsters study their books hard.

Fabes, must have been a lot of fun to be present.  Have heard lots about how raucous it was at the stadium.

Pregame zoom of Breezy

The tailgating started with the Kobe Burger at Cheese Cake Factory, and then we went to the lot and got into a little crown before going in. We were in the corner of the end zone at about the goal line. Lots of Saints fans where we were at, and all around us Bucs fans and Saints fans got along with each other very well, no jackasses which was nice.  Game was a bit boring imo, not into sloppy defensive battles myself. Both QB's really didn't play well. Breeze thru his passes low all day, bouncing a bunch off of the ground before a receiver could catch it. Bucs were covering pretty tight and getting pressure on him, but it did not look like the Breezy I am used to watching. Bucs did look to be the better of the two teams all day, and night. The crowd seemed pretty tame all day until crunch time and then things picked up with the noise factor. Nice Saturday and Sunday for me and the wife first grabbing lunch at Columbia when we pulled into town Saturday around 2:00 and the on to The Westin and hanging at riverwalk on Saturday, starting with Drinks at the outdoor bar on riverwalk and then hitting up a couple places at Channelside for drinks and food. Caught some of the lightning game on the big screen outside of Amalie Arena on the way back to the hotel with the diehards that didn't have tickets. Nice set up they have outside the arena with Food Truck, Bar and deck chairs to watch the TV Broadcast on a huge drive In theater type screen. Fun little getaway

DAL opened at -7.5 against TB

Cowboys have something to prove in this game....they got rattled against the giants....what else is new

I'd like to see them get into the playoffs.

Their losses came against all good teams (except for the Rams).

Bucs / Giants NFC playoff game this year would be great.

Glad we stayed with Dallas the whole way, but they were clearly the better ream. I wish the bucs had an O-line like that. They ate ours for lunch.

Just a lil set back........get back on the train with NO this weekend.

Well that sucked

NFL announces that a parrot — yes, a parrot — will deliver Bucs’ third-day draft picks to an announcer on the pirate ship at Raymond James Stadium.

I would like to go to dinner with Vea

Tb took our pick in Vea, interesting to see how Vea and Payne will match up over the next few years.

Who gots my crab legs?

Saints, Eagles, Steelers without Winston? I'm calling 0-3 start.

Winston is getting his ass kicked in the local press, some of the press and a lot of the fans want him gone. His past in Tallahasse is still fresh and widely known down here from the huge coverage FSU gets. The coach and GM are in contract years, this is not going to end well imo
