Deserves its own thread
60 points in 3 quarters, only took 11 dribbles, and had the ball in his hands for a total of 90 seconds. Very possibly the greatest performance in the history of the game imo.
and on top of that Russel Westbrook is averaging a triple double and could do it for the entire season. He is throwing up huge numbers in rebounds and assists, along with the scoring that everyone expected.
The NBA is off to a great start

Imagine if OKC kept the band
I agree it's been a great start to the season, and the Knicks are over .500 which is nce to follow from afar.
Imagine if OKC kept the band together instead of getting cheap and not realizing or ignoring the fact the salary cap would explode in a few years ago. Granted they wouldn't have the Aussie bad man stunt double from a canceled Die Hard flick at center but the skill players they could put on the floor would be unreal. They will be paying Adams $25 mil, Oladipo $21 mil, and Kantor $17 or $18 mil on top of Westbrooks $27-28 mil which means they would have easily been able to pay Harden and Durant .They should have dumped Ibaka over Harden and I would think OKC has been kicking themselves ever since. Not sure if they could work out the ball sharing logistics once they were all in their prime like now but would have loved to seen them all mature together. OKC vs GS would have been epic battles among home grown talent.
In my mind that will be one of the biggest 'what ifs' that we missed out on on basketball fans.

I'm very happy for Klay.
I'm very happy for Klay.
My impression is that it's been a frustrating season for him for the most part.
Looking forward to Warriors vs Clippers tonight.

Nice thread, even with all
Nice thread, even with all the non-Klay talk.
but too bad JR's not around... anyone else remember when he said Klay was overrated?haha
Anyways, great achievement by Mr Thompson... really enjoyed watching it, and looking forward to seeing what this group will ultimately be able to accomplish.
Speaking of which,
Fabes, what do you think will ultimately help their respective teams win a championship:
Westbrook averaging a triple double, or the Warriors averaging 30+ assists?

Apples and oranges hall, the
Apples and oranges hall, the dubs are a team, Westbrook is the show, and teams always win the ship. Still there are two games to enjoy, basketball the way it was meant to be played, and pure athletic dominance by an individual.
Also gained a lot of respect for the beard after watch his 30/30 or mini doc on espn. He has totally become a complete player on offense under Coach D, who needs defense.
Jambone was right on when speaking of keeping the band together and the battles we could be witnessing between the dub, oks, and do not forget san antone. San antone is easy to leave out cuz the dubs have made their game style boring, but do not think it is ineffective.

As a Warriors fan, the Spurs
As a Warriors fan, the Spurs definitely worry me, as do the Rockets and the Grizz, but Cleveland is still poses the biggest threat...
