Day Ten (Sunday, 07/14/19):
The cell phone alarms went off at 5:00 am and we quickly got ready for our big day of hiking.
Kai looked across the lake and was eager to reach our objective: the top of Mt. Katahdin, hiding in the clouds.
I should add that Mainers call this a "pond" (Pockwockamus Pond, to be precise). It looked fairly large and lake-like to us.
We checked our packs, donned our hiking clothes, jumped in the car, and headed for Baxtor State Park.
