One of the biggest welfare states has the balls to.... argh
It's time to defund all federal funding including medicaid/care public education etc. and removal of all military assets.

AL is majority conservative but not as ubiquitous as the gerrymandering makes it.
In most places Dem voters can be 35-45% but the lines are drawn to negate all influence.
Where I live my city council member, AL Senate, and AL House rep are Democrats but our precincts are under attack again.
The biggest obstacle to reform is the 1904 constitution which keeps things frozen in terms of political power.
Remember when SCOTUS first gutted the Voting Rights act and many Zoners were fine with it, including some "leading liberals"?

Imo, Senator Tuberville is preventing these promotions in hope of a Trump victory in 2024. Then the Republicans, presumably with a majority, can attempt to fill these positions with loyalists.
