Fun Times There ! w DNB.

I used to enjoy going there. That restaurant with the creek down the middle is unique. I also got a laugh that the deep end of the pool had a window to the lobby so you could wave to people.

This article made me check out their website and it looks like Edge of the West plays this weekend. Wish I could wander down to hear them.

Saw DNB there a few times back in the day.  Glad to hear it's still around.

late 90's --- KVHW, DNB, Mardi Gras Indians, Zigaboo, Deep Bannana Blackout etc, etc... good times indeed.

I got hired by the resident hippie promotor to do light shows there which was always a blast. The place had limited outlets and I was running a few slide projectors, a couple overheads, and an opaque projector all crammed on that little landing above crowd level. So I had to run extension cords all through the little upper rooms off limits to the public so I wouldn't interfere with the band's electrical circuits. Miracle we only blew a fuse or two and didn't burn the place down. Man I wish I had some photos of those shows.

I was coming down from Sebastopol so part of the deal was they had to put me up in one of those tiny rooms with paper thin walls. You ever heard Bobby Vega snore? You don't want to. I never did see a ghost.

Is it a rhythmic, thumping kind of snore?

or more of a groovy, walking snore?

Gary Gates Band, Bliss Ninnies, Strangefolk, Big Wu, Old Dead Bug... (DNB with Greg Anton on drums, Bill Laymon bass) etc etc

(a get me out of here I'm sleeping in the back of my truck snore)

I believe one of the bartenders was a playboy model...

oh and the Ghosts

I believe one of the bartenders was a playboy model... <<< i Remember Her Knockout ! also Canyon and Lisa threw a Barn Burner in their Room for DNB ! devilcoolheartyes.

A cool, funky little place to see a show.

Just don't stand in front of a person in a wheelchair.

The bouncers are merciless.

Saw the Rads there....a billion years ago.

..a billion years ago.

It sure seems that way. (JP weren't you more of a Neville Brothers fan? If it's the same JP, I hope you are doin well. If not hope you are doing well, too.)

Different JP Alan, although I hope my JP doppelganger is faring fine, wherever his Neville fandom has taken him.

cool, you're much funnier than him anyway.
