Loved Mojo. That's a sad one. And Don Henley is still alive. Pfffft.

My 9 year old and I are working our way through the Young Persons Guide to King Crimson tonight as we get psyched up for Stick Men next week. I guarantee she's the only kid at school who can hang with this music.

Yes that's good stuff there... I have geographically had the great fortune of meeting a majority of the greater KC family, I live near John Wettons US home(worked with his spouse Lisa and am still friends with her)and the various offshoot bands have all loved playing here(Tony's connections to Rochester don't hurt).. 20th Century Schizoid Band was fun. I really look forward to David Cross and his Larks Tongues tour this fall!!

nice. I'm interested to hear your interpretation fish

been intending to add a keeper copy of that album to my library for some time now

АукцЫон - Жопа(Asshole) full album, 1990

Auktyon (Russian: АукцЫон, pronounced [ɐʊktsɨˈon]) is a Russian alternative rock band from Saint Petersburg.

The band was founded by Leonid Fyodorov at the Polytechnic Institute of Leningrad.[1] Though they originally played post-punk and new wave, the group came to be influenced by European and Central Asian folk music, avant-garde jazz, the poetry of Russian futurist Velimir Khlebnikov, and aspects of Russian high culture and literature.

Very Cool!

^^^^I'm interested to hear your interpretation fish

sticking with Vinyl only so far..So after a bunch of A/B comparisons, I found the Analog Productions to be the best all around mono in a newer pressing. Their stereo issue is a nice alternative listen also and I quite enjoyed it but it may be the only version out there on vinyl(excluding the Duophonic fake out), I'm not sure

Believe it or not, for vintage copies I own, I found the later green label Capitol(early 80s I think) and the Carl and the Passions twofer package to be the best. My OG rainbow label was thin sounding and is marred by a bit of IGD, but even looking past that, I think the green label Capitol may be the most economical way into a good sounding pressing. Full sounding and crisp. That Carl and the passions package is no slouch either tbh

Thanks for that, makes sense. A friend and I were just talking about this the other day actually

the reliability of Capitol green label pressings and how there's usually a lot of nice sound for the money there

is your Kpg 33 or 45? Curious. Personally I steer away from the excess flips and extra shelf space (of 2x45 LP pressings) unless it's something super important to me and/or I can't find/afford an OG

and now I see there are multiple HDCD versions out there too including mono...

choices

I have the 33. I don't go 45 unless it is gonna pay big dividends.

Yea digital versions are next...I'll let you know
