They even have body lotion, I never knew that existed.
“Grateful Dead's American Beauty body lotion, "a sensual blend of rose oil, bees wax, bergamot and French cedar with harmonious notes of cloves and Siberian fur pine in a sweet melody of geranium, thyme, and true vetiver oil", 4 oz. in 5" tall press-pump bottle. Excellent condition. Part of the personal collection of Annette Flowers, a long-time Grateful Dead employee.”

Hey China-Rider
Hey China-Rider
So here is my story about "Out of the Garden" . I was a deadhead living in Vermont and had a small housewares and all natural body care line using essential oils. I had the idea of doing a line of product called "Out of the Garden" based on GD songs, as we were doing business with a lot of natural product stores, head shops and music stores. Wanting do it the right way, I reached out to GD Merchandising and began a conversation with Peter McQuide who was overseeing the licensing of all GD merchandise. I created a few prototypes and sent them to the GD office and before I knew it, I had an invitation to go to their new facility, an old Coca Cola bottling plant in Novato.
This was the "Golden Ticket", an invitation to the inner sanctum of the GD. It was a very nondescript building, no signage . I walked in an and after meeting some of the staff, names we have all known for years, I was asked to sit in a boardroom that had this amazing oak (I think) hand carved table and chairs all with skulls and GD iconography carved in. I think they said the chairs were dropped off one day by a dead head. Classic artwork all round and a large beautiful painting Jerry hanging over the head of the table.
After sitting with Peter and others reviewing concepts, samples and working through the licensing agreement, I was asked if I would like a tour. With that I was taken out back where GDM did all the shipping etc and I met Tiff, Jerry's brother. I was told that no tour was complete with out a look at the vault which I could not believe. Although I was not allowed in I was given a view inside and also allowed to check out the recording studio.
On my way out, we passed by the kitchen and there was Phil. I shook his hand, Peter explained what I was doing, I said thanks for all the music.
It was a great day and experience and in the end it was really great product.

Union, Illinois-based auction
Union, Illinois-based auction house Donley Auctions will put hundreds of Grateful Dead-related lots up for auction on Saturday, September 8 at 10 a.m. CT. The auction includes items from the collections of former Grateful Dead employees Annette Flowers, Sue Stephens and Len Dell’Amico as well as original artwork from Jerry Garcia and more. Interested buyers can take an advance look at the collection during a preview event at the company’s headquarters on Friday, September 7 from 12 p.m. – 8 p.m. ET.
Sue Stephens worked for Jerry Garcia as his office manager, bookkeeper and assistant for 20+ years, while Annette Flowers held down various positions at the Grateful Dead office including work with the band’s Ice Nine publishing company. Filmmaker Len Dell’Amico helmed the Dead’s video team at many stadium shows and also co-directed the concert film So Far. “This auction is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Grateful Dead fans to bring home a piece of history from the band,” said Randy Donley, President of Donley Auctions, in a statement. “It’s a great collection of pieces – all from the Grateful Dead team members’ personal collections. This auction gives Dead Heads and music collectors the opportunity to own treasures you would find in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.”
A list of lots including descriptions and photos can be viewed here. Journalist Jesse Jarnow looked through the hundreds of items and shared a few of the gems that are going up for auction such as Garcia’s rolodex, official Grateful Dead notary seals, a 1978 ledger and a check Jerry cashed at Whole Foods:
