I'm going to see bass legend Percy Jones there next Friday (Feb 3rd).  I just commented on his FB page that I was driving down from Corvallis with a truck full of bass players.  He responded; "Now you're making me nervous",  got a great laugh out of that.  Loved his work with; Soft Machine, Brand X, Eno, Bill Frissel, and so many others!  Might go and see March Fourth the following week.  The Prankster show sounds like fun, have to consider it for sure!

Sounds fun, but will be in St. Augustine for WSMFP.

Thank you for the info.  This looks like a good time and a chance to tip a hat to our elders.  And a good band to boot.

These guys are playing out here at a roadhouse in the deep woods tonight

never seen them before but caught the 2nd set webcast by chance last night and thought they sounded pretty good

Just bought a ticket to their SLC show this Friday. Nice 300 person hall. Dance up front or sit in an inclined movie theater setting in back.

The people I know who went had a very good/fun time. I didn't go. Did you, LLOLLO?

Soft Machine, Brand X & Eno....takes me back, got multiple albums from all 3.

Soft Machine shared management w/Hendrix, did 2 tours together in '68

Well that was fun

these guys have "it"

Hi Judit!  I wasn't able to travel south for this on Saturday, I was sad that I missed it, especially when I learned that Ken and Carolyn performed rap poetry... wonder who has a recording of that?!!

Thanks Judit.. epic photos!

I don't know everyone's names, have only met Ken, Carolyn and her daughters...and the guy who plays the axe instrument... Walker?

Correct, George Walker plays that axe instrument, but he was at home recovering from dental work per his FB page

Nice show last night. Great to see Good Gunnar and the amazing Utah Jen!

After announcing what show it was, the Garcia Project did a "Promised Land" to wrap up their tour and send the crowd home happy.

Packed house. Local band "The Pranksters" opened and did a great acoustic set of all GD material.  LOVE their Utah-themed logo.
