Announcing a unique opportunity for a West Coast Zoner Jam that's in line w/ COVID rules

Forums:

Okay friends, I've had it with this quarantine thing...though I have been following all the rules....

Portland Ken, Noodler and I have been discussing an Oregon Zoner camping / music jam event for awhile… and now that some other summer plans just cancelled, I’m inspired today to invite Zoners who are game for a road trip at the end of August. I respect everyone's concerns about COVID, and found a site that complies with the regulations for those who, like me, are wanting an outdoor gathering.

I recently found an easy-to-access privately-owned farm on Hipcamp.com that has plenty of acreage for distancing, plus a huge barn with stage, sound/ light systems, green room, bunk room and dance floor.

The owner is a Deadhead, and also a fire dancer at Oregon Country Fair! When she heard about our idea, she offered to close off the site so that Zoners can freak freely!

Check out the slideshow of the property here> https://www.hipcamp.com/oregon/beaver-creek-artfarm-barn/beavercreek-art...

As part of Hipcamp, she has committed to following these COVID guidelines>  https://support.hipcamp.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043415632

The private Zoner night would be Saturday, August 29 — we would need a minimum of 25 people to pay $20 each, and I'll handle that transaction directly w/ the owner (off of Hipcamp platform).

On that day, I’m providing a paella cooked over wood fire and a salad for late lunch / early dinner (no cost).

Want to join us? Start a list on this thread, or my email is in my profile.

Play an instrument?  Please shout out to Portland Ken or Noodler on this thread.

If you want to stay Friday or Sunday, you can book your own spot via the Hipcamp link.

Though the owner said she would accept last-minute deciders at the gate, it would be nice to know if we have a realistic chance of hitting the magic 25 number within the next week.

AWESOME WORK

  email sent w question....

Thanks LLTD! Just answered your email.

All -- If you're looking at the Hipcamp slideshow w/ phone, it doesn't show all 104 slides -- open it up to see them all.

Also, forgot to mention the blacklight ping pong table in the barn, yes!

I am thinking YES

we will have to get the bands to rally - perhaps via facebook

long love live music

long live live music!

Sweet news!

1. LLTD

i cant go but the caravan is free to stop on the 101 in hopland to get stocked up on some dank for the trip, ill meet ya at the gas station, but at least one person has to give me a big old hug

Damn I might drive south to Hopland first... mighty kind offer!

Would a ride help?

on paper, this has great potential

on liquid, even better

lining up quality musicians/bands will be a key element to putting on a true ZonerJam... would be good if Mylar chimed in here

good work Llollo

on paper, this has great potential

on liquid, even better<<

Noice!

Garyfish you crack me up ... well it is Oregon, after all...

Barry, Pete,  Mookie and David are likely well-rested...LOL

But the best thing would be to have an all-Zoner jam, of course.

Canyon?

mike berry?

mylar yes....

Possible shakey zimmerman??

Not NOT interested...

looks killer and a great idea, just dunno about this year sister....

I love the location, but that damn virus has my worries up.

But living so close, be easy to do a day trip, love the idea of a Zoner jam (my first gig was a jazz duet for the Rotary club of Pasadena CA in 1979,lol), and I know lots of local musicians / bands to pick from, should that become an issue (though prefer the idea of a zoner jam, and philling holes as needed)

Thanks for all the work you've put into this, much appreciated, and in a normal year i'd be all into it...  but that damn virus, argh!

Awesomely awesome fantastic job fellas !!

Wrong coast for me, but no matter,  I'm appointing you guys pledge representatives to the social committee.

Wait a minute, watch what you're doin' with your time
All the endless ruins of the past must stay behind, yeah

If You Can Get Mylar Up There that would BE Great !

oh and FU&K   Covid -19

Glad to see there's been some good discussion and ideas since yesterday.

It hasn't felt like work, as it's only been conversations so far and the Artfarm landed in my lap when I was searching for something else!

The most work was organizing the info into my terribly long Viva post, LOL.

Anyhow, I have experience organizing and hosting events and bringing people together gives me joy.

I don't know all the Zoner musicans named above.... hopefully they'll see this thread at some point... but if anyone wants to nudge them, that would be appreciated.

But yeah, that bitch COVID is putting a damper on things.   I get it.  It's the summer of solo wilderness trips.

If fewer than 25 campers want to do something, there are 2 paths: 1) Be cool w/ general public campers at the same site and share all facilities there.  or 2) Chip in more than $20 to make the site private.

If all falls apart, at least we got a site for 2021!

Let's keep talking...thanks to those who've posted so far...the owner has placed a hold on August 29th until we make a decision.

One nudge sent....

I looked it up on MapQuest, and it would be an 8-hour drive for me from Humboldt's Lost Coast to the ArtFarm... so it's certainly do-able from an accessibility standpoint... but, a pretty long drive for only one or two days

and then the COVID reality hit me... I'm in that high-risk group that's over 65, with other issues that make it risky for me to forego the relative safety of self-isolation and mix with folks (albeit, MY KIND of freaky folks) coming from all over

heck, I can't even bring myself to visit friends who live much closer... I've been wanting to go see Mark D but haven't been able to pull the trigger b/c of COVID anxiety and related fallout

so, better count me out this time, but when circumstances change I'll definitely keep this one in the hopper

Garyfish! Thanks for thinking on it... Agree, people in high-risk group need to think twice and be wise.

This might be something I could get into if it was a different time in history. Still a little too risky for me.
Hope everyone stays safe and we all survive until science and/or nature can prevail.

Having lived in the general region,  (Lobster Valley,  Philomath,  Eddyville)  I can say that the population density is considerably lower in comparison to anywhere outside of Sahara Desert.

Been there along the Coast between Newport and Seal Rock dozens of times.  Not a huge crowd of people...  and stepping a mile or two off the Coast makes it even more Serene.  It's almost like Outer Space in terms of masses of people.  Zoners would be the largest mass Gathering ever.

Maybe except for the burning man sub-groups that have Enormous gatherings in that area ?

Actually,  the place which LLOLLO speaks of is about the most isolated and Bacteria - free place one could ever locate.  So the Feary Frighty folks should just stay home and watch TV.

I'll be home, watching TV, D Stu.

I'd already told LLOLLO that I wouldn't be there and we can certainly include being a vulnerable older person with other risk factors.

I think waiting til (at least) next year makes more sense.

 >>>>>is about the most isolated and Bacteria - free place one could ever locate

Yeah, but what about virus?

Not really worried  about random infectors there, but I am worried about Zoners who have been unknowingly infected  in the days previous..

If this comes to pass and folks are brave enough to risk it, the best of luck to you all and  could the music be streamed for us old folks? smiley

Well I'd be driving straight from quarantine to the site...... but acknowledge the asymptomatic people.. taking temperatures is not a guarantee...

Stream? hmmmm there is good WIFI at the farm... good idea... and it could be the promo for 2021, LOL.

>>>>Maybe except for the burning man sub-groups that have Enormous gatherings in that area ?

They go over to a parcel of private land on the east side of the Cascades.   Thy used to do their thing at a place out on Sauvie Island near Portland but too many looky loos started showing up and drawing too much attention to the gatherings.    At one of their events not too long ago, they built a full size, functional catapult which they used to launch flaming balls at the giant art installation that was to be burned.  Wonder if more people would be willing to brave the Covid and show up for this event if it involved life size catapults shooting flaming balls?

How does looking at "art" make someone a looky loo?

wow, good work finding this place!  I love the idea of blacklight ping-pong!

I would sign up, (w/social-distance), however we'll be on a long trip to eastern OR (eagle crest, blue mtns) at the time...sigh. Trying to talk him into coming home (closer) a bit earlier...but he's not buyin' it...

Agree, next year may work a little better for some...always good to stay safe.

Thanks kindly for your efforts!  What a great place to find.

Side note  ~ echo basin has gorgeous flowers in bloom.  Middle Santiam as well, and crescent mtn, Maude creek to S. santiam trailhead, gorgeous....and not nearly as busy/crowded as Iron Mtn.  FYI.

thanks, LLOLLO!

If the pandemic is as horrific with the Forecast,  everyone will drop Dead before next year.
So might as well go out and have a Picnic and Zoner Jam.

Let's  just say no one goes out ever until next year,  but you still have to go out and get Groceries,  Fuel,  stamps...

Might as well go have Zoner Jam.  Each person can bring their own Food and personal Bio - Dome.

August 29th? I might be up that way around then.

>>> Let's  just say no one goes out ever until next year,  but you still have to go out and get Groceries,  Fuel,  stamps... <<<

For anyone who thinks this is true, note that there are other ways to acquire these things without contact with humans. Stamps can be ordered through USPS.com, fuel (gas for cars) can be procured by paying by card with only you touching the card, you pulling the receipt yourself and a station worker handling the pump, groceries can be pre-ordered and delivered or picked up in the parking lot of the grocery store. There are ways to stay away from people.

and a station worker handling the pump,

oh you silly oregonians

When I wrote that I wondered if a person is available to help in CA, NJ, etc. I guess that's the answer?

You have my attention.
A long drive from Carmel but would be a sweet road trip.

If it all comes together I could be interested in carpool possibilities as well.

I'll stay tuned

>>>and a station worker handling the pump<<<

My one time in Oregon I pulled up to a pump and a scruffy looking guy comes walking up to my car. I thought, "Oh jeez, this guy's gonna' beg for money."

I didn't believe him when he said he worked for the station. He had to explain how it worked in Oregon.

I felt uncomfortable having someone else pumping my gas, but it reminded me of when I was a kid and my dad would say, "Fill 'er up with Ethel!"

Still seems kind of strange, why do they do that again?

And great idea on the zoner party. No spot taken, this year at least, but it's a cool looking setup, kudos for the effort.

The gas station attendant thing creates low skill jobs.

I pumped my own gas in Oregon yesterday, well, started to...  didn't see anybody and remember reading they were going to change to self serve.  But a scruffy older looking guy politely reminded me that was not the case, as well as reminding me of the dangers of unprofessionally gassing up...   I returned to the cab of my  truck, with the other one on Sirius radio playing proudly...

I think it was a temporary thing, Noodler.

((Attempting to pump your own gas in Oregon))

Embarassing

I know - every time I go to CA and have to pull in for gas, I always end up sitting for a minute or so until I realize "Oh, right, gotta pump my own gas here."

Hey all, Just returned home from my longest hike in a while -- did the Silver Falls Loop east of Salem. Note to self: Don't go to a state park on a weekend... but I found good space once deep into the trails and saw many waterfalls, the tallest one was over 150 ft ...

Cool to see that this thread is still alive!  I'm thinking positive. laugh

Disco -- thanks for being a cheerleader for this thing even though you're far away!

KeseyB -- Now that you mentioned you would like to play blacklight ping-pong (late-night activity for sure!).. I am selfiishly wishing your plans might change a little to make it happen, LOL. ;)

Note: For the Friday night reservations on Hipcamp, I clarified the cost w/ the owner: $50 is for 2 people. Every extra person is $20 -- up to 6 people in 1 reservation group.

Llollo, thanks for putting time and effort into WCZJ planning!  It's especially good that you found a place committed to following the COVID guidelines, it seems like a great location and all things considered as safe as it can be in a pandemic.  I have an abundance of vacation to use up this year (or loose it) and it's cheaper than ever to fly these days so I'm in if this gets confirmed.  Assuming east coast folks are allowed.

Getting to 25 people might be pushing it but based on the definitelys and the maybes posted above and maybe a few of their friends, would there be 10 people, is that enough? I'm willing to contribute a little more if it helps make it a private zoner event.  Guessing most people would prefer that.

Gov. Brown just banned any gatherings of over ten people.

Hi Surfdead, Yes, I get those press releases at work.

The exact language states: "Effective Wednesday, July 15, Oregon’s face covering requirement will be expanded to apply to outdoor public spaces when six feet of distance cannot be maintained. In addition, indoor social get-togethers of more than 10 people will be prohibited. The gathering limit applies only to indoor social get-togethers. This new rule does not change the operation of businesses or churches at this time."

Therefore, camping and outdoor activity would be allowed and small groups indoors.  One could argue that we are a faith-based community, but I won't go that far. ;)  I would be amazed if we get a dozen people. A masked test run for 2021. If one doesn't want to wear a mask or keep proper distance or get their temperature checked at the gate, don't come this year.  I'll continue to be in strict quarantine from now until the end of August myself.

Hey C>R! If you are already quarantining and don't mind the flight, of course, all Viva-Zoners welcome. 10 people @ $50 a piece would be all we need to close off the site... but I support a sliding scale based on what is affordable to each individual.

If its happening, I am in.   I camp over on the central Oregon coast several times a year anyway (I was there this weekend), so I wouldn't miss it.

August is a good time for gray whales and crabbing, so I will be sure to bring my crab rings for fresh Dungeness.   Tide table says the slack tide on August 29 is 11:28 am and its good to get the traps in the water two hours before then.  I have a "secret spot" on Yaquina Bay right behind the Rogue Brewery just 10 miles north of the campsite.  I was the only one there this weekend and didn't do bad.  I will bring my bass and amp too.

It's happening!   Thanks for bringing the traps, I'd love to learn how to set them up.
Yay, we now have 1 official bass player, too.

Bump.

Calling LLTD!  I just got the videos of the driveway to the site.

I made a Google album because I thought others might like to see how remote and private it is....

https://photos.app.goo.gl/RHGC2H4A63PjPHWVA

Let me know if you have other questions....

Lltd has an RV?

Alrighty then.

will call you soon bro, been planning to, just finished 3 weeks of painting house, need co-pilot, you are number one!

I just might repay you that beer that I say I owe you

flow with the trees, pick up jade

39 hour drive....could knock that out in two days with nonstop rotating drivers.   But all for one day, i'm not sure I can hack that.

Zang, know that at least 3 of us will arrive to set up camp on Friday...and then there's scenic Oregon to enjoy!

>>>>and then there's scenic Oregon to enjoy!

No doubt.  39 hour drive is a long haul even to hang out with some fine Zoners, but there is so much to see and do in Oregon, you could stick around a week or so after or before and take some of it in.   Nothing like the Oregon Coast.  Just be careful not to get snatched off the streets of Portland by goons in unmarked vans (hopefully, they will be driven out of town by then).

This is all starting to sound like a sequel to "Race With The Devil".

>>>>> a sequel to "Race With The Devil".

Ha!  That movie is the best.   "Rosemary's Baby" meets "Smokey and the Bandit"

Race with the Devil_1.jpg

Zang, why drive when you could likely fly for less or equal to the cost of gas?  Where are you traveling from?

I sat down and did the math, 9 hour drive each way, and flying does not seem safe at this time, so I am sadly out for this one... :(

Oh noooo! Where are you traveling from, if you were to travel?

Year 2 WCZJ poster

can't  get photo to post   Oh well

LLTD -- I'll try -- is it the one you emailed to me?

yup, and   post the phil zone poster pic please also

i sure miss TAPECAT  what a talent!!

This deal is looking better and better.

Now we need an artist to create WCZJ 2020 poster!    Anyone, anyone?

Thanks to Portland Ken for posting such an attractive announcement to the Phriends Zone on Facebook!

I secured Saturday (private day) with the owners... it's Zoner only from 2pm until noon Sunday!

PortlandZone7.PNG

Flying right now just seems stupid to me. Just takes one asymptomatic traveler and everyone on the plane is exposed.

>>>Zang, why drive when you could likely fly for less or equal to the cost of gas?

Yeah, I'm not sure I'm ready to fly and be in an enclosed sardine can with a bunch of people who I don't know.   That coming from a frequent flyer.   We have a fair bit of people at work flying again and they say it's not bad.   One person's wife is a dentist and she recommended double mask protection and so that's what he did.

I have been romanticizing another cross country road trip but I'm sure ten hours into it I'd probably be thinking WTF.     On the other hand, there should be less traffic this year than in any other year.

This looks grate! I am an East Coaster but will live vicariously through West Coasters that weekend - enjoy!

Zang, yeah, my traffic-free road trips have been a blast since March, but I get it!

Last-minute deciders are welcome... plenty of property to spread out on...

Dear Llollo

I do appreciate the offer, your kindness & the way you think. We are a social group & all desperately miss live music.

Until a vaccine or something is available I can not come. It is not due to my age or frailty but is because my wife's medication makes her immunocompromised.

But in spite of the fact that I can not attend I am happy to contribute $20 toward a good time.

Please talk to Katie & she will give you my phone number & you can tell me where to send the bucks.

While none of us know how much longer we will live, 20 more years or 20 more minutes, it is unfortunate that we have to endure these necessary restrictions.

When this crisis is over, be it next year or whenever, I truly hope we can all be together in love, peace & music.

I pray that you & everyone stays well.

Always yours

Dear Crabneesh,

Thanks for your sweet note. I want you and your wife to stay well in hopes that I can visit you at a later date!
Who knows.... If we rig up a live stream, you can join in that way.
This will be a pioneer year with whoever shows up .....to prepare for a better event at the same location next year!

I was in touch w/ Katie last night!
LLTD must've seen this and sent me your contact info.
I'll ring you this weekend just for fun... no donations necessary!

heart

LLOLLO

Llollo. Would love for you to visit.

Nice post Crab. ( the first one)

Good job Llollo

Thanks MarkD! Just missin everyone I usually see at TXR!

Kai and I will be road tripping and we've been thinking of hitting the PNW; however we're slotted for the first two weeks of August.

10-11 hour drive is very doable, though.

Hmmmm...

Just let me know how I can help, Johnny D... would be great to see you.

Email in profile if you want to discuss off-thread!

Trying to convince Roshambo, too, but right now she's a "maybe".

Need a band (or two, or....) Gol dern it

Yes, we do, LLTD!   Calling WCZJ music coordinators!

Last I heard, Ken was bringing his bass, and I'll be bringing my guitar (still can't 100% commit, but it's very likely i'll be there).  Figure we'd see what zoner players were able to make it, then possibly fill holes if needed.

Sounds like there's a stage in the barn with PA and a drum set, so can rock out accordingly...  but if it's only a few of us, could go acoustic around the campfire, singalong style, or even run power and do an electric campfire, this would allow more free expression from any drum circles that might devolve...   (I can bring some of those damn egg shakers if I can find them too, they're around here somewhere).

I'd give my musical resume, but it mostly happened in Corvallis, so nobody remembers it, including me!

There are lots of great musicians in the area if needed, pandemic and purses allowing...

Great ideas, Noodler!
I got ya covered on shakers---can bring 3---as well as 2 hand drums.

This sounds like it will be a blast, but I can't do a 1700 mile round-trip road trip the week school starts. Have fun freaks. Wish I could join you.

Mental note: In 2021 date should not conflict w/ school dates.

Wish you could join us, too.... gotta figure out how to set up a stream, if only for a few minutes!

If anyone has a YouTube account, you can livestream from that, or Zoom might be a good option too.

>>>>Need a band

DNB???? :)

...but would a band travel for fewer than 25 people? I don't think we could afford DNB fees... wouldn't that be awesome, though?

...thanks Mike for the stream... I have a You Tube acct but don't post to it... will check that out...

What does DNB cost....let's start there.   I'd pay a decent penny to see them in a small venue with lots of space.   I'm sure others might agree.

I agree

Agree

I'm sure DNB would do it if they're already in the neighborhood for whatever they're charging per gig these days, otherwise it's a lot of travel money and time for them.

Yeah, but they're not already in the neighborhood... but I'm reaching out to Toast anyways, just to inquire..... anyone know him? I think MarkD and Turtle do, based on the photos on Toast's FB page...  maybe we could afford just Molo, LOL, we need a drummer.

When Squirrels hired them (and bands in general), for thier summer party, he'll get them a gig in Seattle and Portland, on Fri / Sat  (usually the Crystal Ballroom), then play the SQ party on Sunday...  but that's not exactly an option this year...

Thanks Noodler, that makes sense... however w/ low attendance and outdoor events limited in capacity right now, I don't see how the financial part would pencil out.

(Even Scott Law wanted a few thousand to play at the tavern for it's Bday last Nov, Squirrel compromised by asking them to play 2 nights)

not sure, but I think it's in the $5-10k range..i traveled with/met toast via markd. he'd know better.

Thanks Turtle... that's about what I was thinking. It's a good dream for another year when we could perhaps attract more travelers.

Really not an option at this time.

PSA - The WCZJ II (Covid edition) is not going to be a keg party in a NJ backyard with a hot tub and all, but a very low key get together with a focus on the natural surroundings.

Richie Negman is always welcome for some socially distant jamming.   His shakers would be appreciated at the protests in Portland too.

Good news: Lincoln County, the location of WCZJ, was just removed from our state's COVID "watch list". More detail from a local news article:

Counties are added to the watch list when the coronavirus is spreading quickly within the county and cases are sporadic — meaning they can't be traced to a source, indicating community spread, according to the press release. Counties will be added to the list if they have a sporadic case rate of 50 or more cases per 100,000 people and more than five sporadic cases in the last two weeks, among other metrics.

Bump.

Reminders:

1) Those who are making the trip and haven't paid yet, please get a hold of me -- email in profile.

2) If you enjoy music around the campfire in a socially distanced way, this event is for you.  If a band shows up, we'll welcome them....

3) ....because the site will still be Zoner-only, no matter if only 3 people show up! :)

4) Last-minute deciders still welcome!

Good luck Llollo. Too far to drive for me.

Thanks Mark, we'll miss you being there -- I seem to remember you've been hesitant from the beginning...totally understand.

What if LLTD could pick you up in his big RV?!

I know it's a small crew, but we got to start somewhere and build interest for whenever the first post-COVID summer happens and the rock stars like Mylar can join us.

Hopefully some Zoners will be out of their minds from too much quarantining over the next 2 weeks and will decide to make the trip at the last minute!

But if the crew remains small -- that's just more authentic homemade paella and Oregon craft beers for us, LOL....

.... and you won't have to listen to me attempt to sing, either. ;)

I have had your paella and it would be worth the trip on it's own.  Met Ken that day too.  Joel knows my pup and I doubt he would want to subject himself and his RV to such torture.  Joel?......

Aww thanks Mark... sorry that I spaced that you've already had it, LOL.
Too many good times to keep them all straight... and I don't always shoot photos.
But now I remember you hanging on the patio!

Best o' luck to the Westies with the small shindig.

A quick musical update;

In the process of finding out what kind of PA equipment they have there (speakers? mixers?  mics / stands? cables? monitors? etc), along with CD players / tape decks.  If they have WIFI, be cool to hook up a laptop(?) and stream any moment from any show at a whimsy!

I'll be bringing my acoustic and electric guitars along w/ my tiny Princeton amp, it can get pretty decent tone at very quiet volumes.  Since a small group, i'm thinking campfire mode for playing, vs blow the roof off, LOL...  besides, at the moment, it's just 2 confirmed melodic players (with a third in the wings).

Songwise, I dug into my archives and found old lyric sheets to a bunch of GD songs, originals of mine, some other cool blasts from the past, along with hundreds of songs i've played over the years and have no memory of anymore, so that's been a lot of fun.  Going to try and put together a potential song list this weekend and get it off the Ken.  Likewise, have asked him to send me anything he'd like to do.  Looking forward to jamming with everyone!

Otherwise, I just did the tour of all the pics on their website, and that barn looks large and quite comfortable...  may not even use the stage, but do a more open circle of friends format, kind of like that idea, very intimate...   also, the fire pit appears to be just outside the barn, for easy transitions from shade to stars.  Think I'll grab a few pics off their website and post them.

Thanks Noodler!   Please check your email....Willow just sent more barn and equipment pics and info!

Last-minute deciders welcome!

Just got an email with the response about PA equipment...  while it didn't really help, we now know they have a minimal PA there, i'm guessing a powered mixer, and she showed pictures of the speakers.  I don't think i've got any mics or mic stands anymore, so will be relying on what they have, or once again, campfire style...  (though that kind of singing likely not corona approved, so hmmm...)

update> ....at the end of the email, she said she found 2 mic stands and 1 guitar stand, just no mics.

we can set up the campfire area however we like... thanks for posting that barn pic, missed that one ... I  like how there's lots of seating for chillin' in the shade if needed...

Here's the weather forecast for those dates (set to Newport, just north)... perfect non-humid summer coast temps!

Hey all,

—If you come in from hwy 20 or 101 in Newport, you'll head South in 101 8 miles, then get Turn lane at Ona Beach State Park. Take that left onto N. Beaver Creek Rd. and go 1 mile. Veer right onto S. Beaver Creek Rd. and go 2.8 miles. Turn left onto N. S-Low road (gravel dead end road) and go less than 1 mile. Our driveway is the second Property on the right. 278 the sign says art farm barn. Drive slowly down our bumpy driveway and stay to the right to park at the barn.

— Feel free to look around at everything and find the perfect place for you to camp; either in the meadow across from main barn entrance; or big field around the right side of the barn. (Take extra slow care crossing over the little bridge to the field if you take your car out there.) No Rvs or trailers on that side please. The meadow in front of the barn is perfect for big vehicle camping.

—Additional info:
Bonfire, bbq are to side of barn. Blue water barrels for hand/dishwashing and Shower house behind the barn,(past fire pit). Camp shower bags: fill up water in kitchen and heat in tea pot, then fill shower bag and hang in shower house to use. I also now have an instant propane powered hot water shower!

Power strip inside side barn door(fire pit side) is to charge things and also it turns on xmas/ night lights. Other power strip above gas stove in kitchen turns on dining room table overhead lights.\

Parents Note:
(Dog Parents too: pond, ditch, and creek)

Please remember that the barn is Not child proofed, although it’s super fun for supervised kiddos to play in. We have a funky pond in front of the parking lot, as well as the creek that borders the property mostly hidden by the tall grass. Just a reminder to keep an eye on the littles :)

I also now have an instant propane powered hot water shower! 1.turn ON water faucet and open grey/blue hose. 2. Turn ON propane tank outside of shower house. 3 turn on end of hose attached to white shower box. 4 after shower, please turn OFF propane and water hose. :)

I also now have fire wood for sale by the camp fire. Just put 5$ per bundle sized load you use in the big jar at the woodshed. Kindling there too, &waxed cardboard(the best fire starter ever, just use a tiny square at a time.)

Feel free to use as many fallen branches as you want to get the fire going too.
And fully extinguish fire when you are done. Green Water hose will fill up bucket for communal fire. Have a bucket of water at your camp, if you have a portable fire pit there.

Glad we're not doing an official band, that often requires 3 circuits if ya want a light show and decent PA...

I sent Ken some possible songs to consider, and it sounds like there'll be songbooks and lyric sheets to help assist in the musical celebration...

Thanks Noodler! See you a week from tomorrow!

Weather forecast has improved (in terms of chance of rain)

Nah, just being silly ... can any of us truly "steer" the zone?

love the silly!   and agree, I'm only offering trail markers to WCZJ-7... what one does with them is not my concern...
