Although to be fair, it's billed as a tribute to Robbie not The Band and this is a nice lineup 

Hope there are close-up shots of people on stage and their "WTF?" faces if they haven't yet heard Bobby's falsetto on The Weight.

daniel lanois is a pretty stellar addition here. incredible pedal steel player and storied producer. 

I'd love to hear what Jamey Johnson and mavis could sound like

It's being produced by the same team that did Willie's 90th which was an epic two day show.

LA has a far superior lineup than the tour. Worth every penny IMO.

Scorcese will be filming the event for an "almost 50 years later" movie

Well yes the stand alone show does. Can you imagine the cost of dragging that crew on the road ?

Weird twist of fate that the night of Robbie Robertson's tribute, a Texas man named Robert Roberson is twisting around on Death Row in Texas while the state tries to execute him before midnight.  He was found guilty of shaking his baby child to death, but there is evidence pointing to pneumonia as the infant's C.O.D.  Lawmakers from both parties entered a subpoena for Roberson's testimony on Monday, but the state has an execution warrant good until midnight Central time.

Looks like a great evening of music.   A little weird that Van Morrison did three of his own songs, but didn't join Warren for Caravan.

Good choices for Trey covers.

Oh, and that Robert Roberson in Texas had his own celebration of life in Texas, and still breathes.

I live in Levon's parts and hang with Road Mgr & Driver. 110% sure he would be cursing out F-ing Robertson and Scorsese. None of the rest of The Band will get a penny from this tour/movie....

Although it didn't have the big names we saw in LA, I heard the Warfield rocked last night! A fun show if there ever was one, go see it if you can.
