Looks interesting...

Quite the lineup.  Can Van the Man still do the high kicks?

Dylan in Germany. I'll keep the spirit with Amy and Larry/Teresa

I wonder if it's one of those Don Was productions where everyone does a song they've never played before

Although to be fair, it's billed as a tribute to Robbie not The Band and this is a nice lineup

Hope there are close-up shots of people on stage and their "WTF?" faces if they haven't yet heard Bobby's falsetto on The Weight.

daniel lanois is a pretty stellar addition here. incredible pedal steel player and storied producer.

I'd love to hear what Jamey Johnson and mavis could sound like

or Van & Lucinda

I wonder what Martin Scorsese's involvement is. Webcast? Film?

same

No Neil Damond? Who'll supply the coke...

I wonder if it's one of those Don Was productions where everyone does a song they've never played before

It's being produced by the same team that did Willie's 90th which was an epic two day show.

I'm in for this for sure.

Thanks for the clarification Woz. Some of the Don Was shows have left a bit to be desired. Have a great time.

LA was over $150 for nose bleeds....

Yea out of my interest for the $$$

LA has a far superior lineup than the tour. Worth every penny IMO.

Scorcese will be filming the event for an "almost 50 years later" movie

Well yes the stand alone show does. Can you imagine the cost of dragging that crew on the road ?

Way pricey just think about the riders LOL

Can Van the Man still do the high kicks?<<<

Bob Weir's job this go round.

Special guest predictions:

Neil Young

Stephen Stills

Ronnie Wood

Give us a report!

i checked stub hub and you could get in the door for $47...

Weird twist of fate that the night of Robbie Robertson's tribute, a Texas man named Robert Roberson is twisting around on Death Row in Texas while the state tries to execute him before midnight.  He was found guilty of shaking his baby child to death, but there is evidence pointing to pneumonia as the infant's C.O.D.  Lawmakers from both parties entered a subpoena for Roberson's testimony on Monday, but the state has an execution warrant good until midnight Central time.

Boise gets all the shows.

Hopefully they filmed it.   You'd think that would be a given with Scorsese's involvement.

Looks like a great evening of music.   A little weird that Van Morrison did three of his own songs, but didn't join Warren for Caravan.

Good choices for Trey covers.

Oh, and that Robert Roberson in Texas had his own celebration of life in Texas, and still breathes.

Clapton got his own set? Lol

Mavis sounded better at Farm Aid a few weeks ago, must be sick

> Hopefully they filmed it.

From the Variety link Zooey posted:

Martin Scorsese to Direct Film of Robbie Robertson Tribute Concert

It was a long night of music.
Lots of highlights and some duds too...

This schedule slipped quite a bit. It ended after midnight, not at 10:45.

Not sure how long these clips on YouTube will stay up since a movie is in the works...

dixie w/ jamey johnson looks tasty.

no elvis costello?

No Elvis

Jamey Johnson also participated as part of the house band at times.

Copied from a post on PT, so I cannot confirm:

"Who was the backing band made up of?

gonna be missing some but:
Terrence Higgins on drums
Don Was on bass
Cyril Neville on percussion
Mark Mullins & Levee Horns as horn section
Benmont Tench on piano
Dave Malone on backing vocals/sometimes guitar
Mike Campbell on guitar
Ryan Bingham on backing vocals/guitar
Jamey Johnson on backing vocals/guitar
Jon Medeski on organ"

Kind of surprised Dylan didn't phone something in from the road.

The real warriors were Don Was and Mike Campbell, who were on stage with the house band for virtually the whole night.

Thanks for that video Zooey. Big fan of Allison Russell and I'm always happy to see her performing in events like these. An amazing talent.

Just gto home late last night. What a fantastic show!

My friend Lisa said it "was the concert of a lifetime".

I'll bet

heck of a lineup

Two bits a shot...

now i feel lazy

I live in Levon's parts and hang with Road Mgr & Driver. 110% sure he would be cursing out F-ing Robertson and Scorsese. None of the rest of The Band will get a penny from this tour/movie....

Although it didn't have the big names we saw in LA, I heard the Warfield rocked last night! A fun show if there ever was one, go see it if you can.
