Jack Teixeira

Forums:

He was given Top Secret security clearance in 2021, when he would have been a nineteen year old.  Seems a little young to be handed the keys to the car.

Now he's going to get made an example of and crucified.

He was basically an IT guy.  Lots of young service members are given security clearances.

Hope they throw the book at him.   Alt-right racist antisemite creep.

When I was his age my main concerns were getting high, getting laid, and seeing shows.

The kids grow up too fast these days.

Enjoy pondering your lost childhood in Federal Prison, unhappy Jack.

^^^^When I was his age my main concerns were getting high, getting laid, and seeing shows.

At 53 this is still a legitimate concern to me.  Not joking and I'm ok with this.

If this ever ceases than I'm truly dead, the 6 feet under kind.

>>>Lots of young service members are given security clearances.

Our military is run mostly by young kids. I remember back in the day hanging out with a guy on leave at shows who was a nuclear engineer who worked on subs. The military guys all liked LSD because it didn't show up on drug tests.

Finally a DBMB thread on DOD security clearances

this ought to be great lol

lots of collective experience here in this department, I'm sure

He was such a nice boy.

>lots of collective experience here in this department, I'm sure<

I had clearances at a defense/ weapons contactor and a Federal Government Agency where they collected very detailed personal info about you, but was never tempted to download documents and post them on the Zone to impress you guys.... just sayin. I will stick to impressing you with art, silly pictures, concert reviews and stupid homemade comics, like a good patriotic American.

I have to say, and if you've had the experience you'll probably agree, but it's a weird feeling when they send some normal looking person in to interview you for a security clearance and you have no idea what they know about you.

When I was younger and just had landed in San Francisco looking for work (1985), I even got lie-detectored to work at that electronics store - I forget the name -- it was a chain. Good Guys? Maybe.  I had just come from a hedonistic New Years Eve run a couple of weeks before and when they asked about drug usage I answered honestly with a list. I remember they they had never heard of 2CB.  I got offered the job and turned it down (because I wouldn't work for such a place), for another offer at a boutique audio store on California St called Transvision Audio -- a name which probably wouldn't fly nowadays. I did get a new Sony D6 out of that job.

what's with all the dudes with spanish sir-names being all into this shit?

Tucker Carlson is defending the traitor, so we know the kid must be a lil MAGA turd

https://www.newsweek.com/tucker-carlson-jack-teixeira-pentagon-leak-ukra...

Margie Three Names is rushing to his defense too.

Funny how these stains are both anti-war and pro-Putin.

Trump gushing over Xi is insane, but in keeping with his adoration for Dictators like Putin, Kim Jong-un, MBS. The MAGA Fascists are a funny breed.

I think Teixeira is a Portuguese name, and I may be wrong but I'd imagine that Portuguese people don't take kindly to their names being called Spanish.

See Bss, this thread can go lots of different interesting ways.

Never said it couldn't

might even go 100+

You know in fort Leavenworth the airmen and the colonels all share cells and showers and mess and what not? There's really no rank in military prison.

I see, it is portuguese...

i guess it's a proper colonial opressor name...

>might even go 100+<

spring fling, let's do it.

Next month I have an engagement at Fort Lee -- the headquarters of the United States Army Combined Arms Support Command / Sustainment Center of Excellence. (Unfortunately, I might have to buy a new suit for the occasion). I'll certainly do my best to avoid young, male, Christian, IT traitors who circle jerk off to MTG pics and gun videos.

Not having an ideology speaks volumes about the state of today's youth. This kid probably never read a history book in his life.

Sporkfoot Marge will save him.

> I think Teixeira is a Portuguese name

Lance shoots, and scores.

Teixeira (European Portuguese: [tɐjˈʃɐjɾɐ], Brazilian Portuguese: [te(j)ˈʃejɾɐ], Galician: [tejˈʃejɾɐ]) is a Galician-Portuguese surname based on the toponym Teixeira, derived from teixo "yew tree" (Latin taxus).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teixeira

an old neighbor was a carp and told me he once had a job w/ super high security clearance for some nasa? site in san jose region? anyways, some nasa scientist there made high grade speed? in the lab.

>.a Galician-Portuguese surname based on the toponym Teixeira, derived from teixo "yew tree" (Latin taxus).<

Portuguese? Then the Knights Templar MUST be involved. (Oak Island reference.}

> the Knights Templar MUST be involved

It was the yew trees that caught my eye. They were frequently used for longbows back when.

I find it disturbing that WaPo and the NYT did the bidding of the US security state by identifying the source and cheerleading his prosecution. Journalism has relied on leaks since its inception and it's glaringly obvious that the mainstream media is working in lock stop with the government. Our system of checks and balances is based on the notion of a free press- the Fourth Estate. The press is working with the government to hide their dirty laundry. Isn't journalism supposed to be skeptical of power centers?

Hard labor is still a thing in military prison too. at the Lejeune brig I know this workplace is affectionately known as the "rock pile"

Yes; young jack might actually find himself breaking big rocks into little rocks in the future

By this time his unibrow might be fully grown in. Lucky dog won't need to wipe the sweat quite as often

Yew people...

> it's glaringly obvious that the mainstream media is working in lock stop with the government

How so? I would think the government wouldn't want it known that secrets had been stolen. If the mainstream media--which isn't a monolith by the way--was colluding with the government, they likely wouldn't have published the story.

I have to add that aligning yourself with the likes of Marjorie Taylor Greene and Tucker Carlson isn't going to buy you much, if any, agreement in this forum, Jay, but a smart guy like you should understand that.

>glaringly obvious that the mainstream media is working in lock stop with the government<

FYI: "Fox News was also the most-watched basic cable network in primetime for February (2.26 million), and marked 24 consecutive months (or two straight years) as the top-rated cable news network in total viewers and among Adults 25-54."

Well, I guess you can't get more mainstream than that --- it's kinda like the definition of mainstream.

Thanks for the heads up. I always suspected Fox News was working with the government to hide their dirty laundry. Next thing you know they's uncover recordings of their billionaire owner and his news anchors showing they knowingly broadcast lies for ratings. Fuckin mainstream media.

Who still has cable?

Roku may not be perfect but "Remove Channel" is cool.

>>> have to add that aligning yourself with the likes of Marjorie Taylor Greene and Tucker Carlson

I'm not aligning myself with anyone; just acting in a principled manner.

In Trump Impeachment #1, we rightfully celebrated the whistleblower over Trump's Ukraine antics. Flip the script with who has the levers of power and we're all being told to hate the whistleblower leaking Ukraine corruption this time. Rather than picking sides of an argument because of who has lined up on each side, perhaps try to act less ideological and more consistent. I hate the Republicans and Democrats equally.

Didn't we as a nation celebrate the Pentagon Papers?

YMMV. Just my .02 cents.

The "whistleblower over Trump's Ukraine antics", Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman, didn't release the information on a Discord server popular with teenagers and racists. He placed a record of Trump’s call with Ukraine’s president in a top-secret government system, and then testified to Congress about it.

I'm not seeing the principled manner you claim. It reads more like rehashed Joe Rogan talking points.

Context, manner, intent.

You're (intentionally?) conflating the actions of a legitimate whistleblower with those of a child who wanted to recklessly show off toys that weren't his to his friends in order to gain (digital) social credibility. He didn't do it to expose some big Ukrainian conspiracy. Is there one? What is it? Be specific. Name names.

And Jake Texiera isn't a journalistic source, he's an adolescent who violated a solemn oath (and a security clearance irresponsibility granted, yes) and also sloppily left a trail of digital breadcrumbs right to his own (parents) front door. One that a few presumably motivated investigate journalists probably investigated. I don't know much about the New York Times but if I were a journalist I know I would have done the same. Anyways so offering or deferring to the protection of his identity (intentionally?) as being equivalent or deserving of the same consideration as that of a legitimate whistleblower is pretty much just intellectually misguided.

is Ukraine corrupt? I don't know, probably. But that this somehow becomes a pretext for tolerating and/or low key supporting a Russian invasion bordering on genocide, or retroactively justifying public dissemination of the most highly classified defense information for street cred, is misplaced.

but he's not going to pound-me-in-the-ass prison anyways, military lockups are actually really safe places. Average stay is about 20 years.

>I'm not aligning myself with anyone; just acting in a principled manner.

Ah, so you  enjoy fooling yourself

>I hate the Republicans and Democrats equally.

yeah, that's more of that foolishness and always hysterical to see from the folks constantly rushing to defend the GOP fascists with some false equivalency bs

Whatever happened to the death penalty for treason?

Trump has compromised National security and gets re-elected

Only in nightmares Nancy. This country would never elect the likes of him to the most powerful position in the world. Never gonna happen.

(I decided to go with the river in Egypt.)
