Thanks Fish

What does it say for July 26-27

Was planning on hiking Huntington's ravine late July so this might work well.

Plus Jerry B-day at woodstock....hmmmm.

Thank you Fish .... just cleared the calendar for Bethel

July 26-27 = Travel Hit the Coast

BETHEL HERE WE COME

East coast zoner gathering in Bethel forming...

yes

hmmm Bethel Strings

Doooo it!

the future is here, we are it, we are on our own

if you havent been to Bethel yet, you are missing out on one of the most beautiful sheds in America with a kind and phriendly staff and FREE parking

hmmmm...I'm tempted.   I'm not sure I'm up for camping and was looking at hotels last night.   Never been and it seems like it would be a real good time.

FYI for Bethel onsite camping is still available at regular prices and I am pretty sure they use dynamic pricing and will likely not only bump the price but also probably sell out quicker than the shows. I just reserved a corner spot for 160$, Fri thru Sun

Fish - where did you find that?

i mean, i may just drive the 55 mins home each night...

It can be a chore getting out of there, sometimes takes a while. I'm 2 hours away so multiple nights I stay over. The camping is excellent but can get $$$. Worth it imho as everything is there, you can ride shuttles up the hill but it's a short walk. And camping on the grounds seems to align with the Woodstock spirit

Thank you sir for the link (s)

once i get off the grounds, i head west instead of south like 97% of the rest of the group...

FIsh - did you buy the weather Ins?

I AM in btw - thx again

Yea westbound is the way out for me too. Easy going once you get going that way but it's getting off the grounds that stinks.

Great! I think this will be a great weekend. I didn't buy weather insurance and will just plan accordingly to prepare for the worst. I'm probably just going to do lawns anyway so if it's gonna be wet, it will be in true Woodstock fashion

I looked at hotels.   $200 two nights ago.   $400 yesterday.   lol   Missed my window.

Check air bnb or bed breakfast there's a few but might make a nice alternative

Fish, where are you? i am in Pike County, Dingmans Ferry

For 27$ you get 85/per day if it rains ' lightly' for 5+ hours

if it rains heavier = full refund

now we just need the tix

I'm in baldwinsville ny so pick up 17/88 in Hancock over to Binghamton and then north on 81

Ahhh, I pick up 55 in Barrysville coming across the river and ease on into Bethel on the back roads...

Raymondskill Falls!!

I think it's West on 117 that takes me over to the main stem Delaware

Got a site at Bethel Woods, going to head up Thursday and head out Monday, make a weekend out of it. In the quiet zone historic classic camping, 2 peeps 1 car $300 for 4 nights, not bad. Able to add on people and cars if needed too.

Now just need tickets. How is the place if you don't have a ticket? Can you hang outside and listen?

lookin to be a full on ECZ 3D meet up.....

DZ - Raymondskill Falls is about 15 mins from my house, Child's Park is 9 mins, we are a 20 minute drive to about 15 trail heads and there must be 30 within an hour of here...not to mention the ones i can access out the back of my community on some old fire roads with in a 10  min walk down the block.

Peace y'all

Is scranton the nearest "major airport"

Seems like Binghamton, Rye, Albany are all further.   And no way going into the city.

ABE is further but I've heard good things about it. Never have used it though......

Billy Strings Billy Strings

i was able to get in from Hong Kong to grab tix !!!

got 2 for 31/ trying for 01 now lawn for JerryDay all that was left! now I'll just need some camping space...

Two trees, I have a hammock

I'm in for 7/31    will try tomorrow for Jerry Day

Thanks for the heads up Fish!

Only lawns left at this hour unless they release more seats during public onsale....

What is the lawn section like at Bethel in terms of steep slope?

May join this Zoner jam....

The lawn is decent, good sight lines even from the top, not super steep but not huge either. I went with lawn 2 day passes and I'm generally not a lawn person I feel like I'm going to wanna move around at these shows

WONDER is today’s presale apparently for those interested. Hopefully they held back some Bethel pavilions for those who missed out yesterday as they sold the allotment and only lawns left last night

OK, I noticed that some campsites at Bethel can host up to 6 people -- do any Zoners have room for a VW Bus at your site?  I could pay for part of your site fee.

My BFF Beth is likely to join me.
I'm going to try and rent one (found a '76 already!) and then I wouldn't have to ship all my festy camp gear, just bring a sleeping bag.

Also, does anyone think the premium parking option at Bethel Woods is necessary?
Is it necessary to drive from the campsite to Bethel Woods?

OK, found a better map!  Looks like camping is just across the road from the venue, no driving necessary.

Update: Bought two 2-day lawn passes.  If Beth doesn't commit, then first person in line for the extra pass is Mssr Tommy!
Waiting to hear about campsite availability from other Zoners before I book that.

Was going to go for cheapest tent camp option, lot M.  Was also looking at L lot for RVs but that is like $300+ more.

Would arrive on the 30th, depart on August 2 to go visit Chapel of Sacred Mirrors before heading to EWR for flight home on August 3.

Awesome, we have a campsite but not sure what the guidelines are for multiple vehicles, I'll have my teardrop and at the very least some room for tents but I don't think trees for hammocks unfortunately

Thanks for the info, Fishcane.
Do you know what lot / site number you're in? M or N?
It is possible to add more people to a site (up to 6)... but I'm willing to book my own since will have a van.
Just thought it would be fun to at least book a site in the same lot as other Zoners.

Not involved in Tommy's hammock planning.

We are in F34, I can check on what's allowed for adding cars or people and site size. I'm not sure tbh

Ok, thanks -- you must be in the RV camp w/ hookup and there's also RV camp w/o hookup.  Can't see a lot F on the map.
That probably wouldn't work, but thanks -- going to stick w/ the more affordable option!  Prob lot M or N.

No we are in tent site but I can't seem to find it on a map to show you what it's near or what the parking lot is called

No prob, but thanks for all the info!

Here's a screenshot of the map, which is supposedly interactive... but I was unable to get it to work after trying on 2 different browsers.

Thanks for that image Fishcane -- you're in the quiet zone, ha!
I'll choose something in M, across the road to the north from that center zone.

Looks like bug spray will be needed given that big lake!

Ya quiet zone suits me lol

better map!

From FAQ > https://www.bethelwoodscenter.org/camping/camping-policies

How many tents can I set up in my car camping or premium parking if I am camping?

Each site is limited to one car; however, you may have more than one tent in your space.

Additional guest passes can be purchased for groups larger than (4). Please be aware there is a maximum of (6) people per car camping and RV site.
