Some of you know me others don't. Though I don't post a lot, I probably have a good reputation as a Zoner and long time Deadhead.
As some may know I have been dealing with some seriously stressful issues regarding the settlement of my mother's estate. As a result I was unable to make tonight's Phil show.
As I have done many times over the years I posted on the ticket board to dispose of my ticket. I was willing to take less than face (my cost) and even if necessary miracle it to someone. I received a text message from this guy Dave. Below is the complete transcript exchange:
Hi, my name is Dave I saw your post on the vivalazone and was wondering if you still have the ticket? If you do where would i need to meet you to pick up ticket, I would be coming from Maryland, also would you take $60, that's about all I can afford with all the tolls lol
Yes it's available. I'm in jersey. I'm not far off the turnpike. We would just need to set a time.

At around 3:35 I had not heard from him and tried to call, no answer and the voicemail was full. The following are the texts o subsequently sent with no response.
Hey Dave. Tried calling but you're not picking up and your voicemail is full. What's your eta?
I didn't sell this ticket to someone else so I hope you're still coming.
Dude what's your story? You're not answering your phone.
Dave. I've tried calling and texting you. No response. Not cool! Not even the courtesy to let me know your late or not coming. I could have sold the ticket to someone else or even done a miracle to someone. I'll be letting the zone know about you. Bad karma is coming your way.
I never heard anything from this P.O.S.
I had to get this off my chest. I'm sure the Zone will respond appropriately. Beware of this sorry excuse of a human being. Thanks for letting me vent.

I started this thread for two reasons. Primarily to warn other Zoners not to deal with this individual and secondly to vent the waste of a ticket. Secondly to express my anger about getting screwed over and having a ticket go to waste when I had another buyer, or would have given it away (but by that time it was too late).
Most of the responses here are why I don't waste much time with the zone anymore, and why I'll probably spend even less going forward.
There are many good and kind Zoners I've connected with over the years like Roshambo, Judit, NYC Dave, Cat, Cryptical, Fitzman and too many to mention. My apologies if I didn't mention your name, and many that aren't around anymore or didn't come over from the old zone. It's too bad and sad.
That being said, I hope Phil delivers a good show when I go tonight. I surely need one.

This thread is an interesting take on the ticket thing. Most of time the problem is that someone pays for a ticket and doesn't get it. This here situation is the double-reverse. Not only was no money transferred, the OP was willing to actually miracle the ticket.
