Festival is coming up this weekend. I'm surprised Jerry Miller Band is not part of this or the Summer Solstice show in SF? I see that he is performing in the area at Don Quixote's on 6/17, Biscuits & Blues on 6/18 and Poor House Bistro in San Jose on 6/23.
Wish i was there. Music finally comes to my town and i'm in Santa Barbara at #3 daughters UCSB graduation. Might make it back in time to jump the fence for Phil tomorrow night.
I hear it's glorious in Monterey this weekend. I bet it isn't that crowded, the venue and grounds are very cool and I'm sure APE did a nice job of setting it all up.
If it wasn't so expensive I'd take a cruise down the coast tomorrow, and I'm pretty sure once inside it would be fun and I'd be happy to be there, but $105 to get in and $50 to park is way too rich for me, so a friend and I are going to a groovy jazz show on the coast in Half Moon Bay tomorrow afternoon instead.
Nothing like beating the heat with cool sounds and those cool ocean breezes!
