I have to agree with St. Mark on this one. It is a slippery slope and I'm afraid we have entered the steepest part of that slope and things will only accelerate for some time now. 

Here is a realistic scenario that I would not be at all surprised happens soon and could easily be supported with some of the things mentioned above. 

A mild mannered person who is sick of the Trump era has placed a Dump Trump bumper sticker on their car. The are driving through a rural area of the country that has strong support for the president. They look down at gas gauge and needs to get some fuel. They notice that a sign says last fuel for 70 miles. They pul in and the owner/worker of the station looks at the bumper sticker and lets the driver know that they don't serve those who denigrate the president. By the above reasoning, it should be "OK" to refuse them service.

The scenario is is a very rural area where pay at the pump technology might not exist, but I could extend the scenario a bit and say pay at the pump technology does exist and via, say, CCTV the proprietor shuts off the pump.

Sanders has also defended the right's of restaurants refusing service to people they find morally objectionable.   even going so far as to claim that putting up signs in restaurants "no gays served here" is fair game - you know, based on one's religious/moral convictions.

Bottom line is they opened the door to a slippery slope by hiding behind their "religious convictions".

Example: Refusing to bake a cake for a gay wedding.

Now these same people have issue with others refusing service based on moral conviction.

The difference here, is those being denied service have made a choice to lie to the public (every fucking day)

That being said, there is a growing feeling of intolerance from the left on anything having to do with Trump that reminds me of the wacky way the right wingers hated everything and anything having to do with Obama.  For example, I heard that there was some late night comedy host who recently wished a recession upon America just to hurt Trump's chances at a second term.  I despise Trump and his megalomania as much as the next guy, but to wish ill will on America to get at Trump is really cutting off your nose to spite your face.   Reminds me of how the right wing was furious when Obama got the Nobel peace prize and cheered when Chicago lost the Olympics bid.   There are many, many reasons that Trump and his policies are a shameful embarrassment to this country, but the critics really need to stay focused on substance and not let raw emotion and blind rage dictate the debate.

First off she was not kicked out for her politics. She was kicked out because she actively works for an administration whose policies the majority of this country think are despicable. For too long moderate people have ceded passion to the right wing minority who now run this country. Elections are routinely decided by people who don’t pay that much attention, but they do pick up on which side feels strongly about things. I understand this slippery slope argument but the people who kicked her out represent the majority and we need to start acting like it if we want to take back control of this country. The time for hand wringing, reasoned arguments, and looking at things from all sides is over. If the tax hike on blue states passed by the minority didn’t wake you up I don’t know what will. It’s time to be passionate about what you believe and kick the fuckers out.

No this administration doesn’t have politics. They don’t believe in anything other than amassing power and wealth while attempting to destroy their enemies. She was kicked out because the people are finally waking up to the fact that an administration that is willing to cage children as a bargaining chip in order to get a wall that will do nothing for security, but will help their dear leader save face needs to be resisted at every turn. Their supporters are still welcome in society, but the people who are working for them aren’t.
